CHAPTER 6

Kiara's Pov

At my home-
Kiara-Oh my god.... I feel like my insides have all morphed into one huge organ.
Sidharth- That's a weird way to say thanks. You owe me a day of loyalty, doll.
Kiara- Ugh, I'm so stupid. Just leave already! I can't take any more of you.
Sidharth- I'll see you tomorrow—

Dad- Kiara!! What is all this noise so late at night? And who is this boy?

I and dad went inside the house while sidharth left. I was angry and was going towards my room.

Dad- Kiara! What's going on? Why are you riding around on a motorcycle in the middle of the night?
Kiara- It's not like I had any other choice! That stupid detention teacher took my phone and locked us in the school!
Dad- What?
Kiara- Sidharth and I were stuck in detention, we both fell asleep and woke up hours later, locked inside!
Dad- Alright, I understand.
Kiara- You understand? You're not going to do anything about it?
Dad- I'll make the decisions on my own accord Kiara.
Kiara- Oh, like the decision to hide my real parents from me?
Dad- Get some rest.

In my room-
Gina- Are you sure you're alright, dear?
Kiara- Yeah, I'm not hurt or anything. But why didn't you or driver come to pick me up?
Gina- Oh, but we did!

Flashback from school-:
Gina- Where's Kiara? All the kids are coming out already.
Bruce(driver)- Why don't you ask her boyfriend over there? Maybe he'll know.
Gina- Abhimanyu?
Abhimanyu- Oh, Gina! What's up?
Gina- Do you know where Kiara is? Bruce and I have been waiting for her but she hasn't come out yet.
Abhimanyu- Oh, she— she's actually coming to my house, to sleep over.
Gina- Oh, really? Where is she now?
Abhimanyu- She's uh in the bathroom.... She told me she doesn't want to see you guys, though.
Gina- Oh, if that's the case, I should get going. Thanks for letting me know Abhimanyu.

Kiara- What? Gina, he lied to you!
Gina- Yes, I'm aware of that now. It's strange... why would he say that? Did you two get in a fight?
Kiara- Oh, we're about to.

Next day at school-:

Everyone was shocked. What's going on? Oh my...

I looked over to where Sidharth had the teacher's collar in his fists and he had pressed the old man against the wall. The teacher had paled from fear but Sidharth's grip on his shirt was firm as a rock. I immediately realised it was retribution for the teacher's neglect of us last night.

Mr Ars- I'm really sorry!
Sidharth- Who the fuck do you think you are to just leave me here?

Mr Ars looks terrified out of his guts. Sidharth was the type to get revenge against people that wronged him. I should've known he would get to Mr. Ars before me or my dad called. I don't know what made me do it but I couldn't stop myself from stepping in. Without thinking, I called out his name.

Kiara- Sidharth, stop!
Devi- Kiara, what do you think you're doing?
Kia- Kiara, don't get involved!

Kiara- Sidharth, just let go.
Sidharth- GO AWAY.
Kiara- My dad said he will handle it, so just let go!

He let the old man go.

Sidharth- What's your problem? Why can't you mind your own business?
Kiara- Well...

He's right. Why did i get involved?
Kiara- Well because I was locked in here, too. I could get wrapped up in this, they might say I told you to do it.
Sidharth- That's a weak excuse, but alright, doll.

I started walking away.
Sidharth- Where are you going? If I remember correctly, you made me a promise.

I ran from there and took devi and kia too with me to the washroom and told them about everything that happened.
