Oh god.

Ohhhhh no. No. No no no no no.

This isn't happening. Nuh uh not to me! Nope!

I'm obviously having an out of body experience or maybe the blow to my stomach has messed up some organs and I'm internally bleeding and therefor hallucinating.

Because there is actually no way i have heard the announcer correctly.

And there is absolutely no way that after the announcers clarified a twist in the games that due to how expensive cameras are and the risk of someone falling and breaking one they are instead swapping them for people that Poppy is now trying to encourage me to take part and be one of the unfortunate few that get to be lugged about like hunks of metal.

No thank you, I'll be staying firmly in my seat where no one can cause anymore bruising to me today.

"Okay and to add to the fun of it all we're going to be getting some nominees from the crowd!!!" The announcer yells from her microphone.

Keeping my head down I ignore the excited murmurs from people around me.

All of the contestants line up and somehow Kai is managing to look even more pissed than earlier.

The announcer begins at the start of the queue and speaks through the microphone,

"And for Daria who is our nominee?!"

Her best friend Kayla shoots up and runs down the pew with actual excitement, not sure how that prospect excites her but each to their own.

Kayla joins her on stage before the announcer moves on. The same process goes on for a while and eventually we're at the end of the line, just Kai and Sam are left. Everyone else is paired off with either a friend or their partner. Sam's up first and the announcer repeats her earlier sentiments to the crowd.

No one stands and an awkward silence ensues. Sam's not the most popular in the office because he's not particularly social and people often find him rude but I don't think he's actually a bad person which is why I even more idiotically stand and yell with false enthusiasm,

"Whoo!Lets win this Sam!"

Oh god. Me and my stupid mouth and my stupid need to make sure Sam's not embarrassed. Why do I even care?! Ugh I cant say that, I'd want someone to do the same for me in a situation like this one.

Walking down the stairs I make my way over to Sam and smile ignoring the fact he looks scared. I'll just have to add this harassment to the ever growing list I guess.

"Hi sam, I hope you dont mind me pairing up with you?" I murmur quietly

"No and thank you" he whispers back.

I turn my attention on Kai and I can practically feel doom emanating from him. Again why does the anger have to be so hot, I really can't stand it, I'm trying to not over step my boundaries with him.

I smile at Kai which seems to make his anger slip for a second replaced with distraction, I'm not sure what's distracting enough to give him that expression but then I turn around to hear the announcer asking who wants to go with Kai.

Now, to put this respectfully Kai is, to sum it up, extremely attractive and also extremely single however he is also been known in the office as quite cold and distant which is weird because he's never been like that?

Anyways besides the point what I'm trying to say is that whilst Sam due to his quiet nature didn't have anyone volunteering, Kai is having the opposite effect. Which is totally a message about pretty privilege, who am I kidding though I'd be just as bad if I thought I wasn't gonna creep him out.
