Sonic's(Eggman-Free) Birthday Party

Amy was enjoying herself, which was completely out of character for her.

After finishing party preparations at Sonic's, she decided to take a trip to the pool to relax before the event.

"And I've almost finished collecting data over at..."

Clearly though, she wasn't the only one in need of a break. Closing her eyes, Amy tries to lay up against the edge of the pool, before feeling her guest swim up to her.

"Amy, are you alright?"

I should be asking you the same question Tails.

After leaving Sonic's, she passed Tails's lab. A few seconds later, Amy witnessed Tails bolt out of the building, hurriedly lock up the place, and have what appeared to be a meltdown right outside his front door.

So, Amy invited him to the pool with her.

Probably wasn't her best decision, but it had been a while since she last comforted someone else.

"Amy, are you asleep?"

"No offense Tails, but it would be really hard to sleep right now." She opens her eyes to shoot a glare in his direction, "I invited you here to relax."

Tails looks down at the water, "I'm sorry Amy. But I just have so much going on in my head right now, I simply can't stop thinking." He looks back up at her, "I can go if you don't want me here..."

"No" She sighs, "Clearly the pool wasn't right for you."

So what would be?

Suddenly, Amy's face lights up. Quickly hauling herself out of the water, she turns back toward Tails.

"Tails"

"Amy?" He starts climbing the ladder on the edge of the pool.

She smiles and offers him her hand.

"I think I know just the thing."
