Grace's pov
It was two days before the wedding I woke up out of my sleep to see Ivan by my dresser putting my clothes in a suitcase " What are you doing sir"
I am packing your suitcase we are leaving for Russia today so get up" I pulled myself out of bed seeing there was already a outfit laid out for me a blue and white dress Ivan left dragging out the suitcase " when i come back to get you we are leaving"
I rolled my eyes slipping on the dress I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth I put my shoes on to wait for him to come back
One of the guards Boris came to my room to get me I met Ivan at the bottom of the stairs he had on a light brown suit and black shiny shoes I have to admit he looked really attractive he grabbed my hand leading me out the front door we got in the back of a all black car it was very spacious I asked Ivan "Where are we going" we are going to the plane
Deep down I was hoping I could run away from all this or someone would come save me but superheroes don't exist the other part of me thinks maybe I don't need to be saved Ivan has been really nice to me lately what if things actually do go good for us and I fall in love with him.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard my name being called we arrived at the hanger for the airplane Ivan held my hand guiding me onto the plane it was huge it even had a bed in the back a mini bar and plenty of seats four guards got on plane also Ivan went in the back to sit down pulling out his computer he was always working I decided to sit in the front seats when Ivan told me to sit next to him
We all put our seatbelts on so the plane could take off once we were in flight I noticed the bar cart had some snacks on it I got up going to get one when Ivan grabbed my arm asking "where are you going" I looked down at him saying I wanted to get a snack " Grace you know you can't have junk food I'll get you some real food sit down" I sighed rolling my eyes I didn't have anything to do the flight was almost 10 hours I watched what Ivan was doing on his computer to attempt to keep me busy
Grace: Can i watch something on your computer please
Ivan: no Grace I have work to finish
Grace: I don't have anything to do please
Ivan : why don't you go lay down
Grace: no I'll stay here
Ivan : if you want to stay out here stop fidgeting
For majority of the plane ride I looked out the window this was my first time on a plane I wish I could take a picture of the night sky Ivan came back from the fridge bringing me a salad and some water for dinner I finished the salad and went to lay down I kind of wanted Ivan to come but I ended up sleeping the rest of the ride there when I woke up I was in Russia
When we got off the plane it was nighttime and there was a driver already waiting for us we got in the car I started to take in my surroundings everything felt so different when we got to the roads there wasn't many people and it was quiet Ivan started pointing out some of the different landmarks and reading what they meant we arrived at a really nice hotel in the city "this is where we will stay tonight we will be staying with my parents until the wedding"

The next day:
I got up at nine I was ready by ten Ivan told me it was important we were on time so I was up early we both wore black outfits he had on black slacks and a dress shirt and he picked a long black dress for me to wear since we
were meeting his family for breakfast at their house
I was nervous I would say the wrong thing and be punished before we left the house Ivan grabbed my face saying " If you try to mess this up I will turn your ass black and blue" I gulped at his threat knowing he would do it
We arrived at Ivan's families house the house was huge and had a circle driveway the nerves really started to set in when they where all standing out front waiting for us
Ivan stepped out the car first I followed behind him sticking close to him he pulled me from behind him introducing me to his family I met his mom Anna , his sister Masha ,his father Andrey and his two brothers Dimitri and lev his mom and sister welcomed me leading me into the house first the boys followed soon behind we sat down at a long table masha sat to the right of me and Ivan was on my left.
the maids started to bring out the food plates we were finishing our food when Ivan's father started asking me questions " so girl when are you going to carry my sons children" Oh I don't know I am not s-su - okay I am going to show grace around masha interrupted she grabbed my hand pulling me out my chair taking me outside to the garden I smiled thanking her
Grace : thank you for getting me out of that
Masha: no problem I know how my father is
Masha: I have something I want to ask you
Grace: okay sure
Masha : a few months ago it was you wasn't it Ivan kidnapped you
Grace: no what do you mean
Masha: you don't need to lie I want to help you once you get married there is no going back I mean you saw how my father acted in there you have to let me help you he is dangerous
Grace: help me how i can't run away from here I don't know the language I don't have any money I can't leave
Masha: I will help you I'll give you the money you have to leave by tonight I can get a flight to Idaho from there you will catch a bus to Washington. tonight go out the window I'll be waiting for you on the road behind the house
Grace: What this is crazy how do you know it will work if Ivan catches me he will kill me you can't guarantee that I won't get caught
Masha: if you listen to me you won't if you get married to him you will never be able to leave don't trust him go out the window at eleven o'clock tonight I'll wait for thirty minutes
After our conversation was over we were being called back into the house I couldn't focus on anything else could I trust her why did she want to help me this is the only opportunity I'll get I have to take it
