If I'm being honest,
I don't remember the exact moment
when I swiped right on you.
It wasn't a grand decision, no fanfare or fireworks—
just a casual flick of the thumb,
lost in the stream of faces, names, and
corny bios. But somehow, there you were,
in my inbox, dropping a line that wasn't
another cheesy pick-up,
(not that I remember the line)
but something different, warm—
like you'd been waiting there all along. It's funny, isn't it?
A swipe left or right, a gesture so small,
and yet, here we are,
talking all night, laughing at our worst jokes,
finding pieces of each other we didn't know
we were looking for.And to think, it started with a thumb,
a flick, a swipe—
and a feeling, just out of reach,
that maybe you were worth a closer look.So here's to the chance I didn't even know I took—
to the spark we stumbled on,
in a world of split-second decisions.
Because, somehow, swiping right on you
was the best accident I've ever made.
