Brace yourselves...
Later that day Sophie was sitting in her room contemplating the events of the previous day, did she like Keefe how she swore she could never? All her thoughts were interrupted though by a call from Biana.
Sophie slid up on the phone and picked up the call, Bianas energetic voice filled the phone, "OMG SOPHIE!! There is a party at this boy Tams off campus apartment, and guess who's invited?"
Sophie pretended to contemplate for a minute, "hmmm, I wonder... COULD IT BE US?" She practically squealed into her phone.
"YES IT IS!! NOW GET UR BUTT DOWNSTAIRS TO MY DORM, YOU WILL BE SPARKLING IN 20 MINS!" Sophie rolled her eyes and slumped out of bed and started walking towards Bianas dorm.
Sophie knocked on Biana's door and barely had time to blink before Biana yanked her inside, practically bouncing with excitement.
"Okay, first things first," Biana declared, steering Sophie toward a chair in front of a mirror. "That messy bun is NOT party material. We're doing a blowout. Time to bring out the glam!"
Sophie chuckled, glancing at herself in the mirror. "You make it sound like I'm a charity case."
Biana gasped dramatically. "Excuse me! You are a diamond—we're just polishing up the sparkle."
As Biana fired up her blow-dryer, she started working her magic, brushing through Sophie's hair until it was smooth and shiny. Sophie could feel the warmth on her scalp and found herself relaxing. It was oddly comforting, letting Biana take over.
"So, this is Tam's party?" Sophie asked, trying to keep her curiosity casual.
"Yes, and it's going to be AMAZING," Biana said, grinning mischievously. "And don't think I didn't notice you dodging the Keefe question."
Sophie rolled her eyes, trying not to smile. "There was no question!"
"Oh, please." Biana smirked as she put the finishing touches on Sophie's blowout, her hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. "Just admit it—you like him."
Sophie looked away, cheeks warm. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Mhmm, sure," Biana teased, nudging her shoulder. "Alright, let's get you dressed! We need sparkles, ASAP."
She practically pulled Sophie off the chair and over to her bed, where an array of outfits lay waiting. After a few minutes of rummaging, Biana held up a sparkly silver crop top with matching high-waisted black jeans.
"Try this one," she said, eyes sparkling. "It's perfect. You're going to look like a total goddess."
Sophie slipped into the outfit, and when she turned around, Biana's face lit up with pure pride. "Yes! This is it! You're stunning, Sophie."
Sophie glanced in the mirror, surprised at her own reflection. Her hair was glossy, her outfit was dazzling, and for once, she actually felt...confident.
"Alright, are you ready to go, Miss Sparkles?" Biana asked with a wink, grabbing her purse.
Sophie grinned, feeling her excitement bubble up. "Oh, I'm so ready."
