Chapter Four ; Just a Dream

"Noelle!" I heard before feeling a body jump tight on me, to shake me awake. "Come on, Noelle! we've got to see all the neat toys!"

"Charlie," I groaned, drawing out the "e' "Stop. " Could you tell I wasn't a morning person? probably. I absolutely despised mornings

"Come on! Get up!" He whined, tugging at my blankets, which had been tucked under me, and it made me roll out of the bed with a loud THUD

"fu— just start without me," I groaned, sitting up from the floor, rubbing my arm when I felt a silk feeling against my skin, and looked down. these were different different. they weren't my usual black shorts and ACDC tank top. They were light blue silky pants and a matching T-shirt

I stated at them in confusion, feeling the feeling of a necklace(?) around my neck, and unclasped it, no, not a necklace, a choker, I held it up to see my initials, and it looked as if it sparkled from the light peaking through my curtains, as I stared at it, a bunch of memories came crashing full force.

Dead Santa, Reindeer, Sleigh, North Pole.. there is just no way that any of it was real. It just had to be a dream. I probably just had these things lying around. That's far more believable

I stretched, scratching my cat on the head before heading down to the living room, where Charlie had gotten started with presents already

"Where's dad?" I asked, moving to sit on the couch

"i think he went outside," Charkie answered, tearing into another present

outside? I mouthed to myself, then the door was opening, and dad was walking in. He was in some silk pajamas, though, his red.

Dad let out an exhausted sigh

"Are you okay?" Charlie asks, getting up from the floor and walking to us

"Yeah, fine, just fine,"

"Are you having a heart attack? I know CPR"

"No, I was just.." Dad trailed off, looking at his pajamas,"S.C.?"

"Yeah! Santa Claus! Hey, same initials as your name, Dad, Scott Calvin, " Charlie says, pointing at the letters embroidered into the silk

Dad and I looked at Charlie for a long moment until the doorbell range, which had caused my little brother to run to the door

"What?" Dad asked, looking to the initials again, then turned to me."Where did you get those?"

I looked down at my own pajamas and shrugged, "I don't know."

"Oh! Charlie! Merry Christmas, Honey! did you have a good time?" I heard Laura ask from in the hallway, Dad stood and walked out with one of Charlie's new toys

"Great time!" Charlie exclaimed."The best!" he ran back into the living area to pack his things up

the adults stood in the doorway of the living room, waiting on Charlie. "Morning, Noelle. Did you have a good Christmas Eve?" Laura asked, and I glanced down at my clothes, fingers grazing my choker."It was.. different, to say the least, " I muttered, which laura nodded at

She then glanced to dad, with a raised brown "Scott. nice pajamas. Very festive. Where'd you get them?" she asked

"I don't know,"

"Alana gave them to you!" Charlie says with a grin

"Alana, really?" Laura asked

"Who?" Dad asked, confusion laced in his words
