Chapter Three ; North Pole
Instead of the reindeer taking us back home, they took us to some freezing Arctic. Where there wasn't anything but snow and ice all around.
"Is this okay, dad?" Charlie asked Dad, who was stood, looking upset
"No! it's not okay!" he tells him before turning his attention to the deer."Hey! does this look like home to you guys?"
Suddenly, the reindeer detached themselves from the sleigh and ran off, leaving us behind, "No! No! No! Hey! where are you going?! come back here. "
I gave my brother a glare before hugging myself, hands tucked in the inside of my jacket. could this night get any worse?
At that moment, we heard footsteps, and a child appeared around some mountains of snow. "Hey, Hey! Hey, Buddy! You, Sir! Hey!" The kid just simply ignored dad's calls and took his gloves off, sticking his hand in the snow
"Can you hear me!?" Dad asked before a candy cane looking pile was rising up from the pile of snow."What's that?" Dad asked
"I don't know, I think it's the north pole," Charlie said
"That's the North pole?!" I asked, I was so, very tired of this night. I was supposed to be asleep, in my comfortable bed, but no.
The kid then opened some pad on the pole, typing something in it. "Hey, Buddy, we need some help, hello! what are you doing?" The pad closed, and the ground started to shake below us, and we lowered
"What's going on?" I asked, looking up as we were taken further down
"Look! here comes the new santa!" I heard something kid sat before we're lowered in a huge room filled with kids, and reindeer
"Sit back," Dad ordered, gently pushing Charlie back, The snow lift we were on had finally stopped once we'd reached the ground. "Where are all the grownups?" dad asked
"This is so cool!" Charlie grins, making me roll my eyes. sure, cool, and not at all creepy.
"Stay here. do not let your brother out of your site, " Dad says before he's climbing from the sleigh, stopping some girl who had a plate in her hands."Hey! Kid, kids who's in charge here?"
Charlie goes to stand, but I grabbed him to pull him back down "no you don't. We are not leaving this thing."
"You don't need to be scared!" Charlie frowns
"I'm not scared, Charlie,"
"It's okay! I know you've got a fear of change! Neil says you avoid change a lot because you're scared, " Charlie said. He's an eight year old. what did he know.
"I really don't like your step, dad," I said, and Charlie looked at me. "I don't have a fear of change. this place is just.. creepy"
"You mean you're scared?" Charlie asked
"No!" I glared at him before noticing dad wasn't anywhere to be seen."Dad?" I asked, not seeing any sign of him."Where did he go?" I muttered, standing to get a better look
"He went that way, with one of the elves," Charlie says. "I'll go tell him you're scared," he said, climbing out of the sleigh, this kid..
