Chapter two
Ella Summer

I stepped near the house door and opened it. The wind of chills came out of nowhere. I saw an old style that was from 1996 and some from 2001.

"What have I got myself into?" I shook off my nerves. "There is no turning back," I whispered to myself.

Undoing the cloth from the furniture, as I was ready to go upstairs, I heard a bell ringing.

I turned quickly, and there was no one in the house but me, so I took out my equipment that helps me see a spirit.

I put on my night vision goggles and turned them on. I saw an angry man who was staring daggers at me.

He grabbed the glass from the cup and threw it right towards me. I gasped and dodged to the left.

"Get out," he said with a deep, angry voice.

"No! Die, you monster!" I yelled.

He was shocked, then went back to his scenes. He threw objects and everything that's in the house.

"I'm not a monster. I am not a monster," he yelled, repeating it over and over as he threw objects like glasses and knives.

I breathed in and out, then grabbed the knife that was on the wall, which almost killed me. I used it to cut the blood from my palm.

I said some words that only Hunters know. A glow came out of my hand, making him scream in pain.

"Stop! I'll behave, I promise," he yelled.

I stopped chanting, and he looked up at me, tears streaming down his face.

"I don't want to be alone. I don't want to die either. Whenever I see people coming into my house, I am scared of who they are. I threw objects towards them and almost killed somebody with my power," he said, looking down and swallowing hard.

He continued, "I was alive once, just like you. I was in a gang. I died from the car," he choked.

Then he continued, "I found my body. Everyone saw that I was dead.”

I wanted to go back into my body. I wanted to find love, but I was always lonely, and people couldn't see me. "But you could with that thing," he said.

I took it off and still could see him. I wanna tell him my secret.

"I can see you without goggles," I said.

"You can? I have been waiting for so long to have somebody out there to see me, and you can see me," he said in a happy voice.

I looked at my phone. "I can't be with you. I am forbidden to. I have to kill you," I said.

"Please don't kill me. You can send me to heaven or hell, but don't kill me," he said.

I sighed, bit my lip to think, then continued to talk to him.

"Okay, I'll help you to cross the bridge," I said.

He smiled and wanted to hug me but couldn't. He looked down.

"Hey," I said.

He looked up.

"We will find a way to help you. I will be there."

"Promise?" He asked.

"Yes," she said.
