When we head out from the little café you grip Avery's arm and hums on a lyric that was stuck in your mind. She turns to me and chuckles, started to hum along with me. We walked down the street to get closer to the mall with closeness between them.

"So do you think you and Billie will become a thing?" She asks lightly, a smirk playing on her lips.

"I don't know really, it would feel weird to be with such a famous person.." You mention, clenching your jaw a bit as you both enter the mall. "Where do you wanna go first?" You ask Avery, raising the eyebrows as your eyes land on her.

"Let's go to New Yorker first!" she answers.

I nod and follows her to the store where we walk in and directly starts looking at the clothes. My eyes wanders to diffrent styles but a special pair of jeans caught my eye. I walk over and starts to look through the sizes and colors, picking a grey pair in my size. My eyes flick to both sides to find Avery and when I spot her I walk over.

"Did you find anything?" I ask softly.

"Actually yeah, should we get a fitting room?" Avery suggests.

My lips curve into a smile as we start moving towards the fitting rooms to try on the clothes. I drag the curtains in the small area, hanging the jeans up on the small railing on the wall before I pull my dress up a bit to drag the jeans on. You turn a bit infront of the mirror and adjusts the low waisted jeans.

"Do you think these are good?" You ask and looks over at Avery who is also changing into other clothes.

Avery flicks her eyes up to me and studies the jeans closely, smiling briefly. "Those looks perfect, I think you should take em'."

You nod in agreement, looking at them once again before dragging them off and hanging them back on the galley. Then you pull the dress down and adjusts the hoodie sleeves to make it comfortable. When we finally felt ready we walked to the cashier to pay for our stuff. When it's my turn I pay for the jeans and the person behind puts them in a smaller bag.

"Thank you, have a great day!" You mention softly before catching up on Ave, we walk through some other stores but nothing really catched our eye as the first one.

"Did you hear about the music festival tonight?" Avery asks me, her eyes scanning mine.

"Whaat, no? Are you going?" I mention, my eyebrows raising.

"I was thinking to go with you, if you want to of course." She answers.

"Absolutely! I would love that Ave." You mention, smiling at her as you both starts walking to the exit, the mall begun to be packed full as it reached afternoon. "Should we get ready at my place?" You smile, dragging a hand through your hair as you await an respond.

"Sure!" Avery responds with a sly grin.

AT YOUR HOUSE

You curl the key in the keyhole before opening the door with a swift move. You adjust for Avery to walk inside first before you step inside, closing the door behind. You instantly hear faint sounds in the house, noticing your parents probably was home. You sigh and walks directly with Ave to the bedroom to avoid them as much as possible.

"Y/n, is it still not better with you parents?" Avery asks with a hint of concern, raising her eyebrows and prepares to listen, settling down on my bed.

I sigh silently, taking a seat in my soft chair by my makeup table before I cross my legs. "Well no, they still don't give a fuck and keeps being jerks all the time." I answer and presses my lips together before turning to face the mirror, starting to get put my hair in a ponytail to fix my face.

"I'm sorry, you deserve better." She mentions and pulls up a chair beside to get ready at the same time. The pats your shoulder lightly.

You give her a genuine smile before applying the primer and then doing the rest of the face, you both talk about things while getting ready and at the same time vibing to some background music connected to the speakers.
When you both finally are ready I stand up to pick out an outfit. My fingers graze the diffrent clothings in my closet, deciding to go by new, grey jeans I bought today and a hoodie cause it wasn't that cold outside. My gaze then turns to Ave who stands up from the chair.
"Are you done?" You mention in a low tone and tilts your head while awaiting an answer. I then got a nod from her and we quickly moved our feet down to hall to move to the festival as quick as we could.

And when we had laced our shoes and taken the things we needed we headed out to the Uber I had called just minutes before. Now we were on our way to the destination.
