The smell of blood woke Nereyda up. And the worst part is, it attracted her. She wanted to have a taste of it. Was she in a dream ? What was happening ? Why was she attracted by blood ? It disgusted her, it made her nauseous, but she couldn't help it. She needed to taste it.

She opened her eyes to the grey sky. Was she outside ?

She sat up in a flash, and looked around. She was on the beach, she didn't know which beach though. The raven-haired woman was completely disoriented and lost.

Her vision felt better, her hearing was better, and she was overwhelmed by odors. So many of them.

She took her head between her hands and tried to remember what had happened. It was all so confused in her mind. And then, it came back, all at once. Anya pinning her against the wall after killing proper and draining them from their blood, then biting Nereyda. Was Anya really a... vampire ? And was she one too, now ?

The raven-haired woman laid back down on the sand. This was all so confusing, strange, and honestly scary. She wanted to be a nurse, it was her childhood dream, and now she was condemned to killing and draining people from their blood, from their life.

She wanted to cry, but even that, she couldn't, right ? Anya took everything from her, and she wanted revenge.

But first, she needed to feed. The sole thought of it disgusted her, but she had to. She was starving.

She stood up, her legs felt steady and strong, more than usual. Way more than usual. She looked at her hands, they were pale like snow. She needed to find a mirror, except that if she listened to the legends her grandmother told her, she wouldn't even be able to see her own reflection.

She tried to locate the smell of the blood, and, after a few moments, she managed to sort out the different smells and started walking towards the odor that attracted her so much, that left her almost drooling.

Paul, one of the werewolves pack member exclaimed, glaring at Carlisle,

"There is one of you blood-sucking creatures in our territory. If you don't do anything right now, I swear I'll kill it."

Sam Uley, the alpha of the pack, put his large hand on the other's shoulder, signaling to him to calm down before speaking.

"He's right. When we saw her, she wasn't awake yet, but she had your smell : too sweet. She also had a fresh bite mark on her neck, and to be completely honest with you, Carlisle, we can't have a vampire in our territory. We don't know how starving she is."

Alice grabbed the kitchen's counter tightly, the place where most people present were standing around. She felt dizzy. She was about to have a vision.

The female vampire felt her adoptive brother, Emmett, touch her arm slightly, and she saw him speaking, but she couldn't hear him.

And then, the vision came. It was blurry, but there was blood. Human blood, a lot of it, by the river which stood in the border between the vampires and werewolves territories. The newborn was feeding. And she was starving.

"We need to go to the river right now. She's feeding."
