3rd Person POV

Lily was going on her first date and it just so happened to be with Josh. She had never been on first date and still had doubts about Maya and her feelings towards the boy. She checked in with her sister for many days before accepting that her sister was fine with it. She knew that she would probably still date Josh but she felt bad by just up and dating the boy that her sister had overly expressed that she liked as well.

She like the fact that Josh asked her when visiting Philly to go to Thanksgiving at his house. She felt happy and overjoyed anytime he was mentioned or when she thought or talked about him. It was clear she was head over heels and she let herself be like that.

She got herself ready and heard a knock at her door. Lily calmed her nerves before going over and seeing Josh smiling with flowers and her favorite kind of chocolate in hand. She smiled at him before taking the things and putting the flowers in a vase and putting the chocolate in the fridge. He watched her do this intently and smiled as it seems like she was flowing with her movements.

The two of them walked out as she locked her apartment, hand in hand, down the stairs and to the subway. Luckily they knew that Topanga and Cory were going to have a surprise game day and they invited over all of Riley and Maya's friends, saving them from the questions that were inevitably going to happen.

They entered a small cafe called Glittering Delights and were quickly sat down at a table. It wasn't an awkward date at all for either party. They talked, laughed, ate and drank, and overall had a pleasant outing. The time to leave came too soon and Josh looked at her with hope in his eyes as they exited the cafe hand in hand. "Hey, do you maybe wanna just walk around for a little bit?", he asked while shying away slightly.

Lily smiled at him before replying with a simple "yes" and a smile. They both looked at each other with slight adoration as they walked down the busy, night streets of New York. To a stranger looking on, it looked like they were a couple just starting out. Fresh and young, discovering what they liked and didn't like.

But, to an older person, it looked like they had dated for a year. Seemingly flowing with their movements, connecting and laughing like they had a lot of god laughs in earlier years, knowing the sidewalk rule that so many people had forgotten then. These were all things that were happening and it was noticeable. Young or old.

They had walked to a small park in which they sat down on the standard park benches that could be seen all over New York. Josh looked at his date and noticed how she looked slightly cold, so he gave her his jacket that he wore everywhere. She looked at him in thanks and put it on with ease, feeling content with the gesture.

They stayed on the bench and were silent, enjoying the peace. It wasn't an awkward silence, no, more like one where both know what to say but don't need words to say it. Lily leaned her head against Josh's shoulder and he wrapped an arm around her, pulling the blonde closer. He smiled to himself when she didn't tense up at the action and they stayed like that for a good while.

Eventually, Lily checked the time on her phone and saw that it was 9pm. She looked up at Josh and saw him staring down at her. "Hey, it's 9. We should probably get home. Riley's friends should all be gone by now. Well, maybe not Maya but you know her." Josh nodded at her and the two got up and headed to Lily's apartment.

Josh watched as she walked inside the house and leaned against the door frame of her open front door. She turned around and looked at him before smiling and walking up to him. "I had a great time, Josh. We should do this again." He beamed when she said that and looked down at her slightly since they were only a few inches apart in height.

Lily looked up at him slightly and made eye contact before seeing that his eyes flickered down to her lips, seemingly silently asking for permission. She didn't need anything else before gently grabbing his face and pressing her lips against his, instinctively making him wrap his arms around her waist and hers around his neck.

They stayed like that for a few seconds before pulling away. Lily smiled at him before kissing his cheek and taking a small step back. She tucked her hair behind her ear and looked up to see Josh scratching the back of his neck with a dusted pink appearing on his cheeks.

She went up to him and kissed his cheek again before looking him in the eyes. "We should do this again. This time, I'll choose", she said in a soft voice.
"Yeah, I think I'd like that. I'll let you go now. Goodbye, my darling", Josh said gently before leaving and going over to his brother's apartment.

Lily looked at the now closed door to the Mathews' apartment with slight shock in her eyes and pink creeping up her neck and cheeks. She quietly closed and locked her door before turning her back against it and sliding down to the floor with a cheeky smile.

She looked down at her hands and squealed quietly before heading to her room and seeing a goodnight text from Josh. She smiled at the gesture before falling back on her bed, hair splayed put behind her, and a smile on her face as she fell asleep.

Got a chapter done! It's shorter than usual but more like a filler one. Except for the fact that it's an important filler. Bye for now!
