There's a demon dancing in my heart
Who will idly rip me apart
I espised him in my night terrors and questioned If he was the nightmare all along?
His whispers echoed in my ears but I shut it down like my worst fears.
The euphoric fire turned into burning flames
The demon has begun to play his sick games.
I caged him in the deepest ocean
But slowly it has begun to float
He feeds on my shadow through the charcoal painted nights
When there is no ghostly glimmer to protect me from his plights
He traces my scars that I tried to cover
He enters my psyche and starts to hover
I grabbed the dagger to vanquish the demon and his wicked grin
But the dagger pierced through me for all my sins.
The demon still lurks but I see it's face
As my own reflection, a haunted space .- pv
