"Where is Neha?" Arjun asked eagerly.
An evil laugh. "She's with us, our most honoured guest." A loud scream echoed in the speaker. Arjun recognised the trembling voice, it was her.
"Neha!" Arjun's heart pounded. "Who are you and what do you want?" Without waiting for the answer, he threatened. "If there's a little scratch on her, I will give you the most painful death."
"It's too late for that, ACP sir. There's not an inch unscratched.” The tormentor's voice remained eerily calm. “We will call you with our demands. Wait for it. Until then, Sikander says hi."
The line went dead, leaving Arjun with a void—an abyss where hope and dread collided. Neha's screams reverberated, etching scars on his soul.
