Neha opened her eyes, her head heavy from the sedative. She glanced outside the window, the clouds and some lights twinkled occasionally. She turned around, Sikander was sleeping in his seat. The small cabin, luxurious seats and five other people - she was in a private jet.

Sikander wearing his real face, devoid of any disguises. He was handsome. Neha felt her heart beat unsteadily. She concentrated on the clouds in twilight.

"You awake, Sahiba?"

His voice startled her, she quickly composed herself, "I thought you were sleeping."

"Liked the surprise?"

"When you said you wanted to celebrate my birthday, an overseas trip is not what I expected." She rolled her eyes.

"We're going to Singapore. Had a business trip scheduled, thought let's celebrate your birthday too. I promise you'll enjoy it."

She turned to look at him. "What am I going to do? Won't you be busy with your business thing?"

"We shall do what you want. Your wish is my command, Sahiba." He held her hand,  locking his eyes with hers. He kissed her fingers. "You'll have a wonderful time with me. You have my word."

"Let's see about that." She took her hand off his. "Wake me up when we land." She closed her eyes. Now that I agreed to come here, might as well enjoy the break.

"Yes ma'am."

After the flight, they had a short ride to the resort.

Sikander held her hand as they walked through the corridor to their suite. After the attendant left, Neha looked around the exquisite room.

"Hope it's to your liking, Sahiba?"

"Looks like a honeymoon suite. But where's the proposal?"

Sikander picked a flower from the vase, leaned on his knee. "My dearest Sahiba, I wish you a very happy birthday! The first time I looked at those beautiful eyes, I've been enchanted. Your laughter, your strength, and the way your eyes sparkle when you're happy. I find myself utterly lost in thoughts of you, unable to focus on anything else. Your presence has made me find a new purpose of my life. I want nothing more than to hold you close, gaze at the stars together, and cherish every moment we share. I promise that these two days we have together, I will make every moment special and unforgettable."

Neha blinked her eyes at the man on the floor. "That was corny as fuck." She chuckled, taking the flower. "Let's see how you keep your promise."

He stood up. "Okay then, you freshen up. I will meet my boys, give them some instructions and be back in an hour."

She pouted. "Leaving me already?"

"No, I'll be around. Will be back in twenty for you."

She chuckled again. "Go, take your time. I'll nap till then."

"We'll have a shower together." He winked and walked out.

She locked the door and quickly turned off all the lights, to check for hidden cameras. After finding none, she walked into the bathroom, which had a bathtub and temperature controlled shower space. After a quick shower, she plopped on the bed for a quick nap after having a quarter of whiskey.

Sikander returned in an hour. "Let's go shopping, Sahiba!"

"Alright." She put one of the resorts' complimentary sundress, a white knee length floral dress.

Sikander lead her to a jewellery shop. "Buy anything you like, it's a gift from me." Neha smiled, looking at the options. She picked a dainty diamond pendant with a rose gold chain.
