Phenomenon - Limp Bizkit

Felix walked downstairs, rehearsing what he'd say in his head. His mom was sitting at the kitchen table, one hand holding her phone while the other cradled a cup of tea.

*last night*

"Party tomorrow, but I don't want Mom finding out again. Way too embarrassing," Felix said, sitting on the edge of his bed while Jisung rummaged through a pile of clothes on the floor.

"Just tell her you're staying at my place," Jisung said, holding up a shirt before tossing it aside. Then his face lit up with a grin. "Better yet, say we're having a sleepover. Moms eat that stuff up."

Felix raised an eyebrow. "Right, because two 'boyfriends' having a sleepover after being caught kissing isn't suspicious at all." His tone was dripping with sarcasm.

Jisung shrugged, completely unfazed. "Just tell her Changbin's coming too. She can't say no if it's the three of us." He gave Felix a proud smile. "Boom. Problem solved."

Felix sighed, shaking his head. "Yeah, okay, genius. I'll give it a shot."

Jisung grabbed his jacket off a nearby chair and stood up. "Good. Anyways, it's getting late. I should head out. Tell me what she says, okay?"

Felix got up and followed him downstairs. As they reached the front door, Jisung paused, turning back to give Felix a sly grin. "Bye, Mrs. Lee!" he called out in a singsong tone.

"Bye, Jisung," his mom replied warmly from the kitchen.

Before Felix could react, Jisung leaned in, pressing a quick peck to his lips. Felix's eyes went wide as he smacked Jisung's arm, pushing him toward the door.

"Goodbye, Jisung," he said sternly, though the corner of his mouth twitched with suppressed laughter.

Jisung laughed as he walked out. "See you, Lix."

Felix closed the door and turned around to find his mom watching him, a knowing smile on her face. "You're blushing," she teased.

Felix groaned, covering his face. "Goodnight, Mom."

"Hey, sweetie," she greeted him, looking up with a soft smile.

"Hey, Mom," Felix said, fidgeting with his fingers. "I was wondering... can I sleep over at Ji's house tonight?"

She put her tea cup down, her brow furrowing slightly. "Well, I'm not quite sure, honey. I mean—"

"I know what you're thinking," Felix interrupted quickly. "Changbin will be there with us."

Her expression softened. She knew Felix had been distant lately, and if this made him happy... "Yeah, okay. You can go."

Felix grinned, unable to hide his excitement. "Thank you so much!" He turned to leave but paused, turning back to hug her tightly. She seemed surprised but hugged him back.

Upstairs, Felix packed a few essentials into his backpack. He didn't need much since he and Jisung practically shared wardrobes. After saying goodbye to his mom, he grabbed his skateboard and headed over to Jisung's house.

Jisung greeted Felix with his usual enthusiasm, pulling him into a quick hug as Changbin waved absentmindedly from the couch, eyes glued to his phone. "Come on, let's get you ready," Jisung said, dragging Felix downstairs without waiting for a response.
