Levi stared at the stars. Every single one of them reminded him of her, causing a smile to rise on his face.
"Mind if I join you?" A feminine voice asked. He looked at the girl, knowing who it was from the red scarf that was tightly wrapped around her neck.
"Sure brat." He muttered.
She sat next to him, her hair flowing with the light breeze. Her eyes flickered to each star, smiling slightly.
"Where's Petra?" She asked. "Is she-"
He interrupted her. "She's not dead brat. Just in the infirmary."
She pursed her lips.
"Yaeger?"
"Sleeping." She replied.
Minutes passed, and the two didn't speak. Mikasa pulled her scarf up onto her lips.
"Why do you always wear that scarf? I heard Yaeger gave it to you."
"It's the only time where I felt safe." She muttered.
Levi didn't talk much. And she seemed the same. Mikasa thought about the dead bodies of her parents laying helplessly on the floor. She let out a small sniffle.
"You can cry." He mumbled.
She looked at him. How did he know?
A tear rolled down her face. She quickly wiped away the liquid, getting up. "I should be going now." She said, a smiling.
Levi saw her leave even each step she took. "Brat." He muttered, smirking.

Levi sat next to Petra's bed. "Shouldn't you be working?" She croaked.
He shrugged. "They said this might make me a better boyfriend."
She laughed.
"You are already." She said, pecking his cheek.
Levi opened his mouth to say something, but then Armin and Eren burst through the door. "Titans..." Armin panted. "They're barging in."
"So?" Levi asked, glaring at them.
"Mikasa is almost out. She's loosing blood and won't last long." Eren explained.
"Can't everyone else defeat them?"
"Corporal, look out the window." Armin instructed.
Limbs of Titan victims were scattered everywhere. Hanji and a few others including Mikasa took down a couple, but more of the creatures stormed inside, too many for them to handle
Levi had never seen so many lives wasted. The short haired girl caught his eye, struggling with a fifteen meter Titan. She looked like she was about to pass out from pain and exhaustion or possibly die right there.
"Corporal?" Armin tried getting his attention.
"Alright." He sighed.

Eren was the first one to find her. She was no longer struggling with a Titan, and more taking a few seconds of water. Blood glistened on her skin, and it wasn't clear on who's it was.
A gash on her side made her limp around when she walked, reviving a few concerned looks from Hanji
Mikasa's eyes widened when she saw the two boys. "I thought you were both dead!" She exclaimed.
"We're not. And besides, you're the one who's almost going to be dead if you continue fighting!" Eren yelled.
"I'll be fine Eren."
"Mikasa, Eren is right. You look like you've been eaten alive and we can't spare your life if you keep doing what you're doing." Armin said softly.
Her mouth was opened as if she were to say something, when someone screamed. "Sasha..." Mikasa figured, getting ready to lunge herself.
"No!" Eren protested, grabbing her arm.
She untangled her arm from his grip. "Ackerman, stay. This is an order." Levi snarled.
"I'm sorry Corporal." She mumbled.

She blast off towards where the blood curdling scream came from. She could hear Sasha's voice going, "I'm sorry." A few thousand times. The Titan grabbed the squirming body of Sasha, and began to open its mouth when two blades stopped her.
With one slice the Titan landed with a thud, tears rolling down Sasha's eyes. The brunette ran to her. "You saved my life! Again!" She said.
"Are you okay?" Mikasa asked in a soft voice.
Sasha nodded quickly, and said, "I would've been dead!"
"There are more cadets having trouble with Titans. Go." Mikasa said in a stern voice. Sasha's gear shot her across the houses and buildings, leaving Mikasa to clean up the Titan blood on her uniform.
A few human footsteps headed towards her. She turned around and were almost tackled by Armin and Eren.
"Get off!" Mikasa pleaded. The boys obliged, giving room for her to get up.
"Not bad Ackerman." The Corporal-who came right after-remarked.
"Thank you." Mikasa muttered.
This is my first time publishing a RivaMika fanfic. Some fanfics I've read are out of character, like Mikasa sabotaging people or taking revenge on Petra. Or Levi being a pervert/cheesy/romantic/lovey-dovey. So I'll try to make the characters be more fitting of their personalities that were shown in the anime or manga. I hope you enjoy! (Sorry if this chapter's plot line was really fast)
