Who could've known what you all setted up–was a party for the captain. Big shocker right? But not everything tends to go to plan, the few hours before the harsh truth would be smacked in everyone's face.
He needed to tell them.
They "deserved" to know. He told you all, what a load of shit.
Out of anything you could've done, was making sure he just enjoyed the party.

In the Kitchen.

"Careful! Don't want you falling off!" Y/N cheekily warns to daisuke, since he was busy setting up one of the "Happy Birthday!" decorations on the kitchen. As Swansea stood nearby just to make sure neither of you "did something stupid".
"Can't believe yer trusting him." Swansea complaints as usual, as you give an amused scoff.
"I'll be fine, besides this is one of his first, right?" Y/N comments on, considering even if the idea of having communal birthday parties per trip didn't sound so bad on the surface. Having it extended to the job... not so much.
"..." Swansea says nothing.
At least you'll definitely surprise curly with all of this! Since this was possible anytime per-trip after all. That and it was swansea's last time.
"There! Last one!" anya finished setting up some balloons near the kitchen and over by the coach. While jimmy was standing there wearing a party hat on his head, arms crossed plainly.
"This whole thing is corny." Jimmy says–God can't he learn to lighten up for once? Then again not like you were so focus on whatever he was saying, as you help daisuke get down and hid the ladder.
You heard something.
Footsteps!
"Everyone into position! He's coming!" Y/N clasp his hands together–ushering everyone to move their asses. While anya lets out a snort while others make slight huffs or scoffs. Maybe you were a little too excited but, it was one of your closest friends birthday, how couldn't you?
"Mannn! This is really awesome!" daisuke says, as you all await in front of the door.
The door begins to slowly open, and then–
"SURPRISE!" Exclaimed everyone, as Y/N and the others saw the shocked and surprised look on the captains face, it was priceless! Maybe a little too priceless...?
Either way, all of you were clapping–as everyone took their turn talking to curly.
"Surprise!" Jimmy says.
