Hello everyone. My name is Garry Osasere Odiase, I'm a Nigerian 🇳🇬 writer known as GarryDnovelist on Wattpad. I'm a recent graduate, a product of the University of Benin. I studied Mass Communication.

As a proud member of the Young Wattpad Writers community, I've experienced a bittersweet journey in the world of writing.

As a child, I had a vibrant imagination, often spinning tales to entertain my siblings, especially my brother. Although I had a natural flair for storytelling, I never considered writing as a career path. Instead, I admired writers from afar, doubting I could join their ranks. I was content with oral storytelling.

However, as I grew older, my imagination expanded, and I began to envision potential story ideas. A friend recognized my talent and offered valuable advice, encouraging me to pursue writing. Despite my creative imagination, translating thoughts into words proved challenging. I worked diligently to hone my writing skills, studying styles, and storytelling techniques.

Before novel writing, I explored poetry, drawing inspiration from renowned poets. Their works mesmerized me, and I sought to emulate their simplicity and aesthetic appeal. With each poem, I improved, sensing my growth as a writer.

Now, as a novelist and poet with over a year of experience, I've published two novels on Wattpad: "The Colour Of My Fate" and "A School Of Weirdos." The former garnered encouraging reads, votes, and reviews, helping me refine my craft. Although the latter didn't attract as much attention, the detailed reviews I received were invaluable.

My journey hasn't been without challenges, including writer's block. But with the support of fellow writers from Young Wattpad Writers, I persevered. Seeing others push through difficulties motivates me.

In conclusion, I've learned that giving up is never an option, regardless of circumstances. Every writer, seasoned or novice, should remember that unfinished work can't be improved upon. Don't let negative reviews discourage you; strive for growth, and never quit.
