"I'm pregnant."
The words hung in the air, heavy with consequence, threatening to shatter the fragile world they had built.
The silence was deafening, punctuated only by Louisa's ragged breathing.
___Jungkook's eyes widened, his face pale, as if struck by lightning. He stood frozen, his mind reeling, struggling to process the life-changing words Louisa had just spoken. His lips parted, but no sound emerged, until finally, he managed to stammer out a question.
"What...what did you say?" Jungkook asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Louisa's nerves frayed, her voice trembling as she repeated the words that had forever altered their reality. "I'm pregnant, Jungkook," she said, her words laced with a mix of emotions.
Jungkook's eyes searched hers, seeking clarification, hoping that somehow, someway, this was all just a misunderstanding. "Are you...sure?" he asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.
Louisa nodded, her voice firm, though her heart quaked with anxiety. "The doctor confirmed it last week," she explained. "I hadn't been feeling well this month, and I went for a checkup. The doctor told me then that I'm pregnant."
Jungkook's gaze never wavered, his emotions swirling like a tempest. He stood before her, still cupping her cheeks softly, his touch warm and reassuring.
Louisa's anxiety spiked, tears welling up in her eyes as she apologized, her words tumbling out in a rush. "Jungkook, I'm sorry. I know this isn't the right time, and I-"
But before she could continue, Jungkook's lips silenced hers. His kiss was gentle, yet passionate, filled with love and acceptance.
As Jungkook pulled back from the kiss, his hands remained cradled around Louisa's cheeks, his thumbs tracing gentle patterns on her skin. He leaned his forehead against hers, their eyes locking in a profound moment of connection. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in this life-changing moment.
"Is it true?" Jungkook whispered, his voice trembling with emotion, his words barely audible over the pounding of Louisa's heart. His eyes searched hers, seeking reassurance, seeking confirmation that this miracle was indeed real.
Louisa's gaze never wavered, her eyes shining with tears. She nodded slowly, her head moving up and down in a gentle, almost imperceptible motion. The movement sent shivers down Jungkook's spine, and he felt his heart swell with joy.
Tears streamed down Louisa's face, but her smile was radiant, illuminating the darkness. Jungkook's smile mirrored hers, even as tears welled up in his eyes, threatening to spill over. He looked vulnerable, yet ecstatic, his face a reflection of the turmoil of emotions warring within him.
"Really?" Jungkook whispered again, his voice barely above a whisper, his words laced with wonder. He was desperate to believe, desperate to hold onto this fragile thread of hope.
Louisa nodded once more, her lips curling into a gentle, reassuring smile. Her eyes never left Jungkook's, her gaze anchoring him to reality.
Jungkook's tears spilled over, mingling with Louisa's. He drew a deep, shuddering breath, his chest heaving with emotion. His hands slipped from Louisa's cheeks to her shoulders, then down to her waist, pulling her close.
"My baby," he whispered, his voice filled with awe and wonder. The words sent shivers down Louisa's spine, and she felt her heart swell with love.
Jungkook's eyes roamed Louisa's face, drinking in every feature, every curve. He looked at her with newfound reverence, as if seeing her for the first time.
