If you really believe you can make it
Then the power is in your own hands

It's the moment of truth
You're giving it all
Standing alone, willing to fall
If you can do it
Get up and prove it
Get up and show them who you are
It's the moment of truth
It's all on the line
This is the place
This is the time

Waited forever, it's now or it's never
Nothing can stop you now

The Moment OF The Truth (Karate Kid) - Survivor

**POV Hawk**

The evening had gone by quite peacefully; I had discovered that Reiko was truly pleasant to be around, and I had even noticed she was giving Demetri the googly eyes. I needed to have a chat with my binary brother sooner or later. Maybe I could even wake him up a bit. We were walking back to the hotel, and I had one arm around Olli's neck and the other around Reiko, who was holding Demetri under her arm. The usual idiots behind us were lost in giggles and nudges while the two senseis walked in silence.

It seemed that the truce between those two was coming to an end. My attention was suddenly drawn to some lively chatter coming from one of the side streets. I looked at Olli, and I noticed she felt the same way. There was no need to say anything; we instinctively headed in that direction. LaRusso's protests trying to stop us were useless; we wanted to see.

— A fight club! Come on, guys, let's take a look! —

— What's wrong with you, Hawk? You've never seen anyone throw punches? —

— I've always said you're an idiot, Keene. Come on, guys, let's go. What about you, captain? You coming with us? —

I headed toward the alley without waiting for Robby's approval; I knew he would follow me. Our excitement didn't last long: the guy at the entrance had no intention of letting a bunch of kids in, as he called us. At least not until Olli pulled away from me to speak to him softly. In the end, he agreed to let us in. It was starting to get on my nerves that everywhere we went, it seemed everyone wanted to get into my girlfriend's pants. Apparently, Rei noticed it too.

— Don't worry, Hawk. She can take care of herself. —

— I know; I've seen her fight. It just bothers me how they look at her. —

— Don't tell me you're jealous. —

— How could I not be? —

— Listen, I know Olli. I've never seen her so into someone. Calm down and don't throw everything down the toilet, okay? —

The entrance to the club was tucked away and hidden, but the inside was huge, with a massive ring in the center. I immediately felt the adrenaline rush; this was my world. I loved fighting; it made me feel good. But there was the tournament, and I was just the backup, chosen because Tory had dropped out. I felt Olli close to me.

— You like it, huh? —

— It's awesome. —

— You want to fight. —

It wasn't a question. This girl had come into my life like two days ago, and she knew me better than my senseis. I tried every way to change the subject.

— No, well... I... —

She put a hand on my arm and turned me to face her.

— Eli, one thing you should never do, is lie to me. I can read you well; I don't know why. But it's true. You want to get in that ring. —
