Know it's you against you

It's the paradox
That drives us all
It's a battle of wills
In the heat of attack
It's the passion that kills
The victory is yours alone

In the burning Heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire

In the burning heart

Burning Heart (Rocky IV) - Survivor

I had been staring at the closet in the room I shared with Demetri for about ten minutes, unable to decide. What the hell was wrong with me? I had never cared about what I wore, so why was I suddenly so paranoid? Was it possible that Olivia had already fucked with my head? Demetri's hand rested on my shoulder.

—Why don't you ask El Serpiente if he'll lend you that shirt you like so much? Maybe he brought it...—

—Don't be ridiculous...—

—Too late. I already texted him.— Then there was a knock at the door, and Demetri went to open it. —Oh hey, Miguel. Our Romeo is having a meltdown. He's been staring at the wardrobe with his mouth hanging open for ten minutes.—

—I got it. I'll call the girls. You two wait here.—

—Thanks a lot, Demetri. Now they're definitely gonna jerk me off!—

In the end, it wasn't even that bad: Sam and Devon's advice was helpful, and I finished getting ready in no time. The Senseis had given us permission to go with Olivia, wherever she wanted to take us, so we were free to go. We all gathered in the lobby, but there was no sign of Olli.

I was taken aback when I saw her come out of the elevator wearing a black leather mini skirt that made everyone's head turn, with motorcycle boots that looked strikingly similar to the ones I wanted, and a jacket that was literally making me drool, from which peeked a black lace top I wanted to rip off her. What an idiot. The dragon tail tattoo on her leg had a side effect that I tried to hide by buttoning my shirt.

—Hey guys! You all cleaned up nice! You look great. Shall we go?—

Demetri stepped forward.

—Where are you taking us, Olli?—

—To a spot nearby. They have great music, excellent tapas, and plenty of beer. How many of you are of legal age?—

Once again, Demetri opened his mouth. I was seriously considering punching him in front of everyone.

—Actually, only Eli. He turned eighteen two weeks ago.—

—Wow! Then we definitely need to celebrate. Okay, the first is on me. Let's go!—

And she took my arm like it was nothing, leading us through the streets of Barcelona. I felt so embarrassed that I didn't know what to say. Or what to do, for that matter. Thankfully, the others were chatting, filling the silences.

**POV Olli**

I had tried to mask with indifference the fact that having him close was driving me crazy. What the hell, he was just a kid! I needed to cool my jets, or I'd get myself into trouble. Daniel wouldn't forgive me.
