Veer sat in his car, eyes fixed on the college gates where the man, Pihu said was standing. He'd parked in a spot where he could see everything without being noticed.
As he watched, the man exchanged a few words with another guy. Veer leaned in, his focus sharp, catching snippets of their conversation.
"Kitni haseen thi na yeh," the first man said with a lecherous grin, eyeing Pihu from a distance who just got off the car and went for her classes.
"Man toh kar raha hai ki sari raat iski saath guzaru."
Veer's hands gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white. The anger building inside him was almost unbearable.
The second man smirked. "Janta hai kiski beti hai yeh?"
The first man scoffed. "Kya kar lege? Jab unki masoom si jaan humare hawale ho, toh kuch ukhad nahi payenge. Jitna paise maangenge, utna deke apni ladli ko le jayenge."
That was the breaking point. Veer's vision went red.
He threw the car door open with such force that it slammed against the curb, but he didn't care. He stormed towards them, his presence intimidating enough to make anyone freeze. The two men looked up, the cocky attitude fading as they recognized him.
Without a single word, Veer landed a brutal punch on the first man's face, the force so strong it sent him stumbling backward, blood spurting from his nose. The second man's eyes widened in shock, but before he could react, Veer grabbed him by the collar and pulled him up to his face, his voice a deadly whisper.
"Meri behen ke baare mein agar dobara kuch bola, toh tujhe zinda chhodunga nahi. Meri behen meri jaan hai, aur jo meri jaan ko jo haath lagaayega, main uska jeena haram kar dunga." he said gritting his teeth. Shaking from fury
The man stammered, his face drained of color, but Veer didn't let go, tightening his grip.
"If you even think about getting close to her AGAIN," Veer continued in a dangerously calm tone, "I'll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life."
The man nodded frantically, fear evident in his eyes, as Veer shoved him back, sending him crashing into the wall behind him. He turned to the first man, who was still dazed from the punch.
"Jaan pyaari hai na?" Veer asked caressing his face.
He didn't replied
"KUCH PUCHA MAINE! JAAN PYARI HAI KI NAHI?" Veer yelled, his eyes wide opened dangerously
And they nodded like scared cats
"Then Get the fucking lost, before I decide to finish what I started," Veer said coldly.
The two men scrambled away, their legs shaking, not daring to look back. The surrounding crowd, seeing the fury in Veer's eyes, kept their distance, not a single person daring to speak out or intervene. Veer's reputation as a ruthless protector was well-known, and no one wanted to be on the wrong side of him.
Veer, still seething, turned around and walked back to his car. He didn't say a word to the people around him, not even glancing at them. When he picked up Pihu later, his face was calm, but the fury still burned in his eyes.
Later, he picked up Pihu, Aarav returned home with the driver before Pihu because his class ended earlier.
Veer put a reassuring arm around her shoulder, his voice softening. "Tujhe ab tension lene ki zaroorat nahi. Jo tujhe pareshaan kar rahe the, unhe maine samjha diya hai." His quiet promise was enough to reassure her
And she knew-after seeing that side of him-there was no chance anyone would ever get close to her again. The power and determination in Veer's voice made it clear: no one would threaten his family, and certainly not his sister.
