After an hour or two, Karan and Veer returned home. Karan had told Veer everything. Once they entered the house, Veer saw Pihu and Anvi busy preparing something in the kitchen. Veer gestured for Karan to check on Ayaan while he stepped into the kitchen to help the girls with their cupcakes.

Karan searched the entire mansion but couldn’t find Avinash or Ayaan. He called their phones, but neither of them picked up. Finally, he headed to the terrace and found both brothers curled up, cuddling each other. A wave of peace washed over him, and he stood there for a moment looking at both of them as his heart filled up with joy.

Quietly, he pulled out his phone and captured the moment in a photo.

With careful steps, Karan approached them and gently shook Avinash, mindful not to wake Ayaan.

“Avii,” he whispered.

“Hmm,” Avinash stirred, groggily gently removing Ayaan’s arms off his chest.

“Kya hua?” Karan asked softly.

Avinash sighed, and told him everything

“Bechara mera bacha… itni chhoti umar mein apne maa-baap ko kho diya, we can never understand what he is going through” Karan's voice trembled, and his eyes grew moist.

“Bahut strong hai mera Aayu. Mere saare ache karmo ka phal Bhagwan ise de de,” Karan said, his tone filled with affection.

“Bahut ro raha tha yeh. Bahot Mushkil se shant karaya maine,” Avinash said as his gaze drifting towards Ayaan, who looked peaceful now. The two brothers sat in silence for a few moments, watching over him.

“Waise meeting kaisi gayi?” Avinash eventually asked, changing the subject.

“Thik thi,” Karan replied, adjusting himself on the swing nearby.

The movement stirred Ayaan, breaking his sleep. He blinked and looked up.

“Bhaiya,” he murmured.

Karan leaned closer, caressing his head and planting a kiss on his cheek. “Bolo, bhaiya ki jaan,” he said warmly.

“Aap aa gaye?” Ayaan asked, his voice soft.

Karan nodded.  "Tum mujhe kuch batana chahte ho?” he asked, raising a brow.

Ayaan hesitated, glancing down. “Bhaiya… woh… aaj ek… class test tha, aur mujhe… kam marks mile,” he admitted hesitantly.

Karan felt a sense of relief.

Ayaan can never ever hide anything from Karan. He just cannot. Specially when he asks something making direct eye contact.

“Kitne marks mile?” Karan asked

“Sorry, bhaiya,” Ayaan whispered, looking down.

“Kitne marks, Aayu?” Karan prompted.

“3,” Ayaan finally admitted.

“OUT OF?” Avinash exclaimed, his voice raised in disbelief.

“Twenty-five,” Ayaan muttered, squeezing his eyes shut and bowing his head.

“Aayuu!” Avinash glared at him. “I wasn’t a great student either, but itna kharab marks?” Avinash scolded.

Ayaan didn’t said anything, he looked at Karan waiting for his scoldings but to his surprise he didn't say anything

“Bhaiya?” Ayaan asked hesitantly. “Aap gussa nahi ho?”

“Hoon. Bahut hoon. But I know you’re not this bad at academics,” Karan said firmly. “Pehli baar hua hai, isliye I’m letting it go.”
