Karan stood with his arms crossed, leaning back against the desk, his expression sharp. Avinash sat on the sofa nearby, his gaze equally piercing but less vocal, letting Karan take the lead.

"Kis ka plan tha?" Karan’s voice was cold,

The kids stood in a line, their heads hanging low. No one dared to meet his eyes. Pihu sniffled quietly

"MAINE KUCH PUCHA SHAYAD?!" Karan’s sudden shout made everyone jump, their fear visible.

Ayaan’s face turned pale. Among all of them, he feared Karan the most.
One look, one word from Karan, and Ayaan would obey without question. Right now, the very sight of Karan’s glare made him want to disappear into thin air.

The elder rooms being on the ground floor meant no one else could really hear the noise, leaving the kids to face Karan’s wrath alone.

The way Karan was furious, even Avinash was scared for the kids, especially for Aarav, but he will deserve every bit of it.

Finally, a trembling voice broke the tension.
"M-m... mera," Anvi admitted, barely above a whisper, her voice shaking as much as her body.

Karan’s eyes snapped to her, and he pushed off the desk, stalking toward her with slow, deliberate steps. Anvi froze, her breath catching in her throat as. With a firm but careful grip, Karan tilted her chin up, forcing her terar filled eyes to meet his stormy gaze.

"Toh ab ro kyu rhi ho? You must be proud isn't it?" His voice was a deadly calm

Before Anvi could muster a response, Aayu spoke up hesitantly, his voice trembling. “N... nahi, bhaiya... mera plan tha,” he blurted out, trying to shield her.

"K.. kyu jh.. jhoot bol r.. rhe ho tum log? I..it was m.. my idea" Pihu said stammering to save the younger clans

"Tumsab ko lagrha hai mein yahape khel khelrha hu? Han? Raat ko pehele ghar se gayab hojao, Phir ek random ladki mere bestfriend ko call karke bolti hai ki mere bhai behen ne sneak out Kiya hai, Phir waha dusra smoke karte hue pakda gaya upar se kuch pucho toh jhoot bolna hai inko!! Akhir chahte kya ho tumlog?" Karan scolded harshly and all of them looked down

He glared at them for a few seconds and then commanded "Avi, scale" his tone sharp and unwavering.

Everyone froze. Their eyes went wide with fear, knowing there was no escaping now. Avinash silently handed Karan the wooden scale, his expression stern, showing no sign of mercy.

"From where did you get so much guts? Tab toh bahaduri maar ke chale gye! Ab kyu dar rhe ho han?" Karan thundered

'Hands out" Karan ordered, starting with Anvi.

'B... bhaiya, please!' Anvi pleaded, tears streaming down her face

'I. Said. Hands. Out,' Karan enunciated each word, his voice leaving no room for negotiation.

Anvi looked desperately at Avinash for help, but his glare told her she wouldn’t find any support there. Left with no choice, she reluctantly extended her trembling hands.

Without hesitation, Karan delivered eight sharp strikes to each palm. The sound of the scale meeting her skin echoed in the room, accompanied by Anvi’s quiet sobs. By the time he finished, her hands were red and shaking, but she didn’t dare pull them back.

Karan moved to Aayu, who didn’t wait to be told twice. He immediately held out his hands, his head bowed, tears already spilling down his cheeks.

Then it was Pihu’s turn. She hesitated, her hands shaking as she tucked them behind her back.
