The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across Jennie's room. It was supposed to be an exciting day. Blackpink had a much-anticipated photoshoot lined up, but the energy was anything but electrifying. Jennie looked over at Jisoo, who sat dejectedly on the edge of the bed, her mind clearly elsewhere.

"Come on, Jisoo," Jennie urged, trying to sound cheerful. "We have to get ready. The photoshoot is in a couple of hours, and you know how everyone counts on us being on time and radiant!"

Jisoo sighed deeply, barely acknowledging Jennie's presence. Her mind was stuck in a loop of confusion and hurt over Jinyoung's silence.

Seeing her friend so downhearted, Jennie felt a pang of frustration. She knew they couldn't show up with Jisoo in this state, not just for the team's sake but for her own well-being as well. Determined to find out more, Jennie reached for her phone and called Jay B, Jinyoung's best friend and bandmate, hoping he could shed some light on the situation.

"Hey, Jay B," Jennie greeted as he picked up, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm really worried about Jisoo. Jinyoung hasn't talked to her since he got out of the military, even though he promised. Do you know what's going on?"

There was a pause on the other end, and Jennie could sense Jay B choosing his words carefully. "Hey babe" he replied slowly. "Look, I wasn't sure if I should bring this up, but it might be related to Jisoo dating Ahn Bohyung, while Jinyoung was still serving..."

Jennie's heart sank a little. She hadn't thought about that possibility. "But that was a while ago," Jennie protested. "They broke up way before Jinyoung got discharged last year, didn't they?"

"Yeah, but you know how these things can stick with people, also, Ahn Bohyun is a really close friend to him" Jay B responded gently. "Jinyoung might still be processing it. Or maybe he just needs a little time to figure things out."

Jennie sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Okay. Thanks for being honest. I guess I'll talk to Jisoo about it. Maybe it'll help her find some clarity."

After hanging up, Jennie turned back to her friend, who was staring out the window. She knew it was a delicate subject to broach.

"Jisoo," Jennie began carefully, sitting next to her on the bed. "I spoke to Jay B, and he mentioned something that might be the reason for his silence. It could have to do with your ex that we never mention."

Jisoo's brows furrowed in confusion. "You mean because I dated him? But that was ages ago, Jennie."

"I know, but Jinyoung might still be coming to terms with it," Jennie explained softly. "People have a way of getting stuck in these complicated emotions."

Jisoo was silent, absorbing the information. It was a sobering thought, one she hadn't considered. "What should I do, Jennie? I don't want this hanging over us, especially today."

Jennie took Jisoo's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Let's get through today first. Focus on the shoot and let yourself feel the energy we're so good at creating on set. After that, if you still feel like you need an answer, maybe it would be worth reaching out to Jinyoung and talking it through."

Jisoo nodded slowly, this time with a little determination showing on her face. Facing the day with her group's support seemed more manageable now that she understood a potential reason for Jinyoung's distance.

"You're right," Jisoo said, taking a deep breath. "I can't let this affect our work or my friendships. Let's make this shoot a success."

Jennie smiled, relieved to see the spark returning to her friend. "That's the spirit, Jisoo. Let's go show everyone what Blackpink is all about."

As Jennie and Jisoo began getting ready, the feeling of professionalism took over. Despite the lingering uncertainty, Jisoo felt a sense of empowerment knowing she wasn't facing her challenges alone. She had her friends, and she would find a way through, one step at a time.
