"Come out humans! It seems I have something you want!" The mother cyclops shouted.
"Shit" Josh hissed. "This is not good."
"She's bigger than I thought she would be." Rose whispered.
"Humans!" The child shouted. "Do not hide!"
Their hearts were beating out of their chests. There was a ringing in their ears as they hid. They were utterly petrified. The mother cyclops began moving different crates and checking under the pots for possible hiding spots. She grumbled each time she checked a spot that was vacant.
"I smell them. I know they are here somewhere." She muttered while scratching behind her ear. "I know they want to take the armor. It is mine!"
"Momma! I am hungry!" Polyphemus shouted again.
"I hear you." The mother replied, annoyance laced in her tone. "Do you not see me searching for them?"
"What do we do?" Rose turned to Ban waiting for him to come up with a plan.
"WE won't be doing anything." He scoffed. "You need to stay hidden. Josh and I will have to attack when she turns her back."
Heat stung her cheeks. Deep down she knew she wouldn't be helpful in this fight without the armor, but it still hurt her feelings. He didn't have to be so rude about it.
Josh put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. We will finish this quickly, and then we will steal your armor back." He attempted to comfort her.
Rose offered a weak smile as a response. Ban and Josh peeked from behind the crate, waiting for the perfect moment for them to strike. It would be difficult to attack. They were the size of barbie dolls compared to the cyclops. They would need to get to some higher ground and try to attack from above.
They stuck towards the wall that led to the table. The table wasn't nearly high enough to reach the mother cyclops' eye, but it was the best that they could get. Momma cyclops was busy rummaging through a vegetable crate that she believed them to be hiding it. Polyphemus jr. was watching her movements intently as his mouth watered. This would possibly be their only chance to get on top of the table without them noticing.
"Josh, do you think you could throw me up there?" Ban asked.
"Easily." Josh replied as he glanced at the height of the table. "I'm not sure if I'll be able to follow you up there though. These chair legs don't offer a lot of grip."
Ban nodded. "Okay, I'll have to attack her face solo. Can you attack her feet and try to throw her off balance."
Josh considered for a moment. He had incredible strength, but she was a VERY big cyclops. He wasn't confident in his ability to lift her, but maybe he could try slicing at her achilles? "Honestly Ban, I'm not sure. I swear that I'll try my best, but I can't make any promises."
"Okay." Ban sighed. He figured Josh hadn't reached that potential yet, but he was praying for the sliver of a chance he had. "Give me a lift. We can't waste any more time."
Josh grabbed Ban by the waist and with a quiet grunt, he tossed Ban to the top of the four stories tall table. Ban's arms flared in the air as he attempted to push himself forward to land on the table, rather than just fall straight back down. His landing was less than graceful as the weight of his body made a large clanging noise against the table.
The cyclops eyes darted in his direction. They smiled, revealing bright yellow, razor sharp teeth. "There you are!" The mother shouted as she sprinted to the table.
Ban didn't have much time to react as he jumped up. Panic washed over him as he witnessed the ginormous woman barreling towards him. She reached out to grab him faster than he anticipated. At the very last moment, he was able to use his phantom powers. His skin became translucent as her claws went straight through him.
