The sunshine peaked through the sheer curtains that dangled from the window frame. The warm, soft glows danced across Arianna's face as she fluttered her eyes open, her head against Trevon's chest. She glanced over at the time—it was just ten o'clock exactly, the perfect time for her to get up and begin her surprise. Ayla's birthday was today, along with Halloween, and Arianna wanted to start the morning off right with a simple breakfast from Denny's and then go to the aquarium.
"Wake up," Arianna cooed, slightly shaking Trevon, who tightened his grip around her waist refusing to wake up.
"Bro, move around, mama. I'm tired." Trevon mumbled, his voice heavy with sleep. The long night of making plays had made him tiresome and he wasn't going to budge.
"Baby," Arianna whined, using her left leg to pull her weight on top of him. "Come on. I know you're sleepy, but Ayla's birthday is today, and we have to get up."
Trevon groaned, opening one eye as she smiled down at him. "Good morning, beautiful. Five more minutes, please?"
"Good morning, papa," Arianna replied, her smile softly growing as she looked into his eyes. "Not happening, though."
"What yo ass on? I just got in bed an hour ago," Trevon mumbled, his voice was a deep rasp that made her heart skipped a beat, nearly over powering her determination to get him up and moving.
"I'm trying to get my baby day started. Get the fuck up, Tre." Arianna said, leaning down to place a soft kiss on his lips before sliding off of him and out the bed.
He let out a dramatic groan, sitting up, and running his hands down his face. "Ight bet, I'm up. But don't be mad when I'm quiet as hell all day. Knowing I been out all night."
Arianna rolled her eyes as she enclosed herself into the bathroom. "Nobody told you to keep going. You on your own time, Trevon"
Trevon trailed behind her, stretching before leaning against the doorframe. He watched her pat the top of her bonnet and start brushing her teeth. A smirk crept onto his face as he took in her beauty. "You just wake up looking gorgeous, huh?"
Arianna spat out the toothpaste, eyeing him from the corner of her vision in the mirror, with a playful smirk that mirrored his. "That's my favorite word to hear from you. Don't start, though. It's too early to be gassin' me."
"Never too early, my baby." Trevon said, laughing as he picked up his tooth brush. "So what's the word today? Denny's."
"Yeah, then the aquarium." She replied, turning on the water, checking the temperature before stripping off her clothes.
Trevon eyed her with a mischievous grin appearing slowly. "Let me get in wit' you, my baby."
"Only a shower." Arianna emphasized, a warning tone escaping her lips as she turned to face him with her eye brow raised.
