"if i could fly, i'd be coming right back home to you. i think i might give up everything, just ask me to."

I stood in front of the mirror, my reflection staring back at me. The soft glow of the vanity illuminated the features that I've thanked my mother for giving me, casting a warm hue over my face. I took a deep breath, feeling a vibrant sensation of excitement fluttering in my stomach as I started getting ready for Harry's Seattle show tonight. Ella Mai, who was probably the most streamed artist on my Spotify at the time of 2018, softly played from the little speaker that I had in my room.
As her music filled my room, I focused on my makeup. With steady hands, I applied a touch of foundation, a sweep of blush and a hint of highlighter to accentuate my cheekbones. My eyes were the centerpiece, lined with a delicate stroke of eyeliner and a touch of shimmering eyeshadow to make them pop. After a final coat of mascara to complete the look, I got started on what I was going to do with my hair.
I truly had no plan for whether I was going to curl it, straighten it or hell, even throw it up in those weird space buns that everyone found so trendy at some point. But I was going to free ball it. Be spontaneous, like Harry wanted me to be.
I decided on beachy mermaid waves, a look that went completely over my head at first but grew on me in the matter of seconds. As I styled my hair, I thought about Harry, imagining the look on his face when he sees me tonight. The thought of making him swoon used to make my heart race with anticipation.
I think the real star of the show, though, was the dress. I got it several days ago while I was out on a shopping trip with Cassie (because she still insisted that the plaid skirt outfit wasn't hot enough for tonight's occasion) and it was a pretty little black dress that even I couldn't leave the store without.
The little black dress inched down to just a little bit above my knees and it clung to my figure just right, like a second skin. The strapless design accentuated my shoulders and necklace. The sparkling sequins caught the light, creating a dazzling effect that made me shine with every movement. The fringes danced playfully at the hem, adding a touch of whimsy to the mini silhouette. White stars twinkled against the black material, making me feel like I was wrapped in the night sky. The dress was the perfect blend of fun, flirty and cheeky.
"You in this dress.. Oh, Harry's going to be in for a treat." I remember Cassie saying to me on the day we were out in Bellevue. We were both standing in front of the mannequin where the dress was fitted perfectly against it. "You are going to make that man get down on his knees faster than any God could."
I finished getting ready in the mirror, examining my reflection in the mirror. I'm slightly self-conscious wearing something so alluring simply due to the fact that this just wasn't something I'd wear on a regular night out. But I'm embracing my body, knowing Harry would most definitely love knowing I'm being confident enough to wear something like this dress.
