Raising his hand rather shyly, the class's quietest member almost went unnoticed if not for 13. "What do you know Koda?"
"I asked some of the birds for help earlier when we were searching and one of them said they saw a blonde boy by the front gates early this morning. They weren't sure, but there might have been a man waiting for him off campus though my friend was flying home and didn't see clearly. It could have just been someone passing by at the same time." It was clear he was conflicted about the information as the tall Animal Voice Quirk teen tried not to make eye contact with anyone as he addressed the rescue training specialist.
"Why didn't you say something earlier?!?! We've been running around campus all night and he could have been taken by somebody and be who knows where right now! Not again! This can not happen to him again!! What if he's being hurt by villains somewhere?! We need to find him NOW!!" The uncharacteristically harsh tone in Izuku's voice was unnerving to pretty much everyone. None of those gathered had ever seen the boy so angry or agitated before.
"Midoriya, please! It's not Koda's fault. *Kero* He said it was just a blonde boy. That doesn't mean it was Bakugo, it could have been anybody." Asui's croaky voice was calm but had an edge that betrayed her own worry.
"Excellent point! Sirs and Ma'ams, would it be possible to check all the dorms to confirm Bakugo is the only missing student?"
"Good suggestion Iida. Ryo?" The raven haired home room teacher seemed a bit more alert than he was a few minutes prior as he turned to the Dog Quirk Pro on his left.
"I will pull surveillance and check the body count for each building. Namuri, do you know how many students are supposed to be off campus?"
"Including fifth year interns 38." The part-time hero and full-time UA student counselor and therapist was in charge of making sure interning upperclassmen were accounted for when they were supposed to be on campus as well as approving any off campus leave aside from holidays.
"Midoriya, come with me." The greenette was by his teacher's side almost instantly. "Everyone else stay here and wait for us to check the other dorms. Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, Jiro, and Sero: you five know him best outside of this one." Without taking his eyes off the group of friends, Aizawa pointed his thumb at the visibly agitated greenette clenching his fists and sparking with small hints of viridian lightning. "Think of any place he might have gone voluntarily. Assume he doesn't want to be found."
"What can I do Sir?" The look in Izuku's emerald eyes was unmistakable as he stood looking up at his intimidating teacher.
"You will call his parents and ask them if he's been in contact at all in the last week. Let them know what's going on but convince them to stay where they are, tell them not to come to the school. We need them to stay home in case he shows up there." Turning away from the inheritor of OFA, Shota faced the room once more before making his way out and following his recently departed colleagues. "We operate under the assumption he left on his own unless we find evidence otherwise. Understood?"
"YES SIR!" The whole class responded at once as they all began helping the Baku-squad brainstorm ideas.
Twenty minutes later they were able to confirm the blonde was the only unaccounted for student in the school. He had not gone home but he did call his father early that morning to tell his parents he'd be away for a few days for training. After Inui Sensei positively identified Bakugo as the blonde the bird had seen leaving campus that morning the off campus search began. Aizawa used his network of informants to track his wayward student's movements all the way to the train station, but the 16-year-old's trail was lost after that. His group of friends supplied a few options for possible destinations along with his best friend but 13's team cleared all locations within an hour and found no sign of him.
