"Dad! Why can't you be normal?" Sammy yells at me from behind her locked door. Sam looks over at me, "Got your hands full, huh?" He asks. I look up at him, "You have no Idea. She noticed the devils trap under her rug. She thinks, I'm some devil worshiper." I explain to Sam. He just finished a hunt in Arkansas. Sometimes I miss the hunt, but most of all I wish she was here. "Why don't you just tell her what it's for?" He asks. I stare at him as I reach in to the fridge and grab us both a beer. "Because I promised Olivia, she wouldn't become us." I say walking into the living room, of my white collar home. Sam still stays at the bunker, from time to time he stops by and sees us. "So Sammy text me and said you won't let her go out with a boy." Sam says.
I hate that they are so close, she talks to him about everything. "Sammy! Come here." I shout towards her room. She comes out the door arms crossed. "What?" She says. "Why don't you tell your uncle how old this boy is and what he does." I say. She rolls her eyes and turns to Sam. "He's only twenty and he sells used stuff out of his car. What's the big deal?" She says. Sam's eyes go wide, "Samantha, one he's too old and two more than likely those items are stolen. I agree with your dad." He says. "You guys suck. I wish my mom was here." She says stomping back into her room. "Well the days early. She'll get over it and find something new to be mad at me about." I say to him.
"Cas and I are going to hit up a vamps nest in Tulsa." Sam says. I think back to the last vamps nest I hunted. Seventeen years ago. A year before Sammy came along. I saved Olivia's ass. "Dean, do you miss it?" Sam asks me. "Yeah. Everyday. Then I look at my daughter's face and know I did the right thing." I say. Sam smiles at me, but I know he misses having me on hunts. "Well I'll head out tomorrow and meet up with Cas." Sam says stretching out on the couch. "Just tell Cas to come on over. Haven't seen him in a while." I say. "Alright, I'll give a call." Sam says bringing his phone out. Sammy's door swings open, "Did I hear Uncle Cas was coming over?" She says. I look over at her, "Yes, but that doesn't mean you can persuade him into siding with you." I say. She rolls her eyes, "Dad, I'm sorry." She says and walks over and hugs me. I look Sam like I told him so. He smiles, "Hey Sammy, movie and pizza night?" He asks. "Yes, as long as Dad isn't Mr. Grumpy pants." Sammy says looking up at me.
Later on that night, Castiel rings the door bell. He doesn't pop in, for Sammy doesn't know he's an angel. All she knows is Sam and Cas travel all over and help people in need. Sammy comes running out of her room. "Is he here?" She asks. I open the door and there he stands. "Dean, good to see you." Cas says. I bring him into a hug. "Uncle Cas!" Sammy shouts as she runs past me to hug Cas. "Hello, Samantha." He says hugging her. He's really been acting more human lately, Sam and I said he was too stiff and that Sammy would catch on. "Cas, I promised to stop calling you uncle Cassie is you would stop calling me Samantha." She tells him. Sam comes over and gives Cas a hand shake, "But Sammy your name is beautiful, You're named after me and your grandma. Samantha Mary Winchester. Beautiful." He tells her. She rolls her eyes.
We begin to follow her into the living room when Cas grabs my arm, Sam and Sammy continue on. "Dean I need to tell you something." He says. "What?" I say. "It's Addison. She's missing, she was supposed to meet me two days ago. She never showed, she's not at the bunker, she's not at her safe house, and she's not answering her phone. I need your help." He asks me. I shake my head and rub my face, "Cas, I can't. I made a promise to Olivia to stay out of the business for our daughter." I tell him. "Dean, Charlie's with her." He says. I roll my eyes, damn it. "You've got to be kidding me. Does Sam know?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "Son of a Bitch!" I shout. "Dad, are you ok?" I hear Sammy shout. Oh sure now she acts all sweet, now that uncle Cas is here. "I'm fine." I shout back.
"Cas, use your angel powers to find them." I say. "Dean, I can't. Something or someone is blocking me. I wouldn't come to you unless I had to." He says. "Hey Dad, Back to The Future or A slasher flick?" Sammy asks. "Which one?" I ask. "Does it matter, it's friggin Back to The Future." She says. Fair point. "Cas let's talk about this later, ok." I say and he nods.
