Ryan had heard of Casey's beauty in the book, but seeing it in person was something entirely different. She was a stunning woman-her platinum blonde hair cascading in soft waves down her back, contrasting sharply with her ruby red eyes that seemed to pierce through the world. She moved with the elegance of royalty, but there was an unspoken danger in her presence. She wasn't just feared-she was respected, and her icy demeanor kept people at a distance.

When Ryan first saw her in the grand dining hall, he almost couldn't breathe. The Lady Casey DeWinter was everything the book had described: cold, detached, and distant. She sat at the head of the table, her gaze unfazed by the whispers of the other nobles in the room.

Ryan stood near the wall, unnoticed, as he served tea and quietly observed her. There was a sadness in her red eyes, something the book hadn't mentioned. Her beauty was all-consuming, but it was a beauty that came at a cost.

And it was this very woman, this unapproachable ice queen, who was destined to die for a crime she didn't commit. Ryan clenched his fists. I won't let that happen, he vowed to himself.
