"ROSETTA MILLER FERGUSON." Mr. Rabbit utters with a curious tone as he continues to corner Todd. "Did I say her name correctly?"
Todd's eyes narrow as he clenches his jaw. "Don't fucking speak my mother's name..."
"Great woman. I had fun gutting her like a fish," The Rabbit says proudly. "And making her intestine... a necklace for your father."
Todd shouts at him angrily and rushes to attack him with his fists. Mr. Rabbit dodges swiftly. He swivels behind Todd, then loops the chains around his neck, trapping him. Todd begins to desperately gasp for air as he chokes with each rough tug of the Rabbit on the chains, tightening the metallic noose about Todd's throat.
I see his eyes bulging red as he turns purple. Veins on his forehead and neck become visible. I know then, he's close to passing out.
And before I could realize it, I'm telling the Rabbit what to do.
"Make him suffer..."
His silver eyes glimmered like the moonlight when he hears me. It becomes ethereally glassy, but still with its devilish charm. Then, Mr. Rabbit pulls away from Todd, momentarily freeing his neck. However, he doesn't let a second pass as he quickly wraps his knuckles with his chains and use it to hit Todd at the face.
The hard steel accompanied with the force of the punch breaks the bone of his nose, making it dislocated and fractured. Blood bursts out from Todd's nostrils and from the wounds around it from the cracked bone which slits his flesh open in some parts.
Mr. Rabbit raises his knuckles to serve a blow at Todd's face again. And again the roughness of the metal bruises him, causing more blood. This time, it hits his mouth. The force is too brutal that he has to spit some of his wrecked teeth. They drop on the floor like dead flies with his spit stained in blood.
Todd tries to retaliate by throwing a punch of his own. His strike lands on the Rabbit's mask. I hear a tiny crack. It's tiny. But it seems so loud all at once. Todd steps back, briefly shocked that his punch has slipped through.
There's silence. An eerie silence. Though it's not long when the Rabbit starts to chuckle menacingly, as if Todd's punch has not nearly cracked his mask. His broken laughter is intimidating.
Todd immediately tries to run for his gun on the floor. But you can't beat Mr. Rabbit with his speed.
He pounces on Todd, wrapping his arms around his waist and forcibly redirecting him away from his gun. Todd elbows the Rabbit. It loosens his grip on him, but the Rabbit just maneuvers in front of him, stepping towards Todd's lead leg and plunging his forehead close to Todd's chest as he closes the distance like a raging bull. He grabs the back of Todd's knee with his arms and locks them together. He keeps a tight hold on Todd, preventing him from sprawling out of the position, then he pulls him into his force. As Todd lose his balance, the Rabbit lifts him up and throws his body onto the tea table.
His vicious fall wrecks the table into big splinters, and with it are my beautiful tea set scattered in pieces on the floor. The sharp edges of the broken materials prick Todd's arms, and neck, and face. They leave various cuts across his flesh, bleeding him out.
"Oh Todd..." Mister Rabbit speaks softly with a twang of taunting, his chains clicking and hissing with his gentle movements. He stands behind him, studying Todd's bruised bleeding form on the floor with fascination as if watching a freakshow in a circus. "You look just like your father... right before I slit his throat and grabbed his larynx away."
Mr. Rabbit presses his booted foot on Todd's back, making him get crushed more against the tiles littered with sharp fragments. Todd groans loudly then shivers as he slowly loses his energy along with his blood. At that moment, they look like the magnificent statue of Michael, stomping on Lucifer, as the devil lies defeated. Such art is unfolding before me. I can't look away...
