"Are you sure it will work?"
"Oh trust me, Loi. It works 100%!" The girl's best friend, Stacey chuckled, elbowing her in the ribs.
In her hand was a little vial with some transparent liquid flowing around.
"You're a smart girl, Maloi. I'm sure you know what to do!"
Clutching the vial close to her chest, Maloi waved goodbye to her friend, watching the girl depart on the train away from the station. The older girl smiled; It was always comfortable talking to Stacey, the girl always knew what to say.
"Ah... the air is so fresh!" Stepping onto the streets of Quezon City, Maloi loved the cool breeze that punctured the night sky. It was her and Jhoanna's 5th Anniversary tomorrow, so she wanted to give her a present that she would remember for life.
'Just use this and she's all yours, Maloi!'
Stacey's words rang in her head as she looked at the vial once more. Maloi looked around, seeing the store that they frequent.
"I'll get Jhoanna's favourite drinks and go home!"

"Baby, I'm home!"
"Oh hey! You bought something?" Jhoanna walked over to meet Maloi halfway, her eyes lighting up as soon as she saw the iced coffee.
"Iced coffee? Oh wow, you're the best, babe!" The taller girl leaned in, kissing Maloi softly before taking the bag out of her hands. She was like a little kid, excited over getting some treats.
"I knew you would like it! Maloi got started on her own drink as well, glancing nervously and watching her girlfriend drink hers.
'Will it really work?'
Her heart was racing; she had poured a little of the vial into Jhoanna's drink before coming home. Before she knew it, Jhoanna had already downed the cold beverage, slamming it down on the table.
"I love you so much, babe! I'm so lucky to have you in my life!"
"M-Me too, honey. Me too!"
Maloi was fidgeting in her seat, her heart was lurching in her chest.
"But baby..."
"Yes, Jho?" She watched her girlfriend clutch her head a few minutes later, closing her eyes and groaning.
"I'm a little sleepy for some reason!" The taller girl rubbed her eyes softly, letting out a yawn. "Maybe I'll take a little nap..." Jhoanna leaned on Maloi's shoulder, dozing off.
