⑄Chapter 7⑄

Heeseung's pov:

Grandpa's condition is critical.It's my fault.I shouldn't have argue with him.But what could i do even?How can i agree to his decision.It's not right.I love Sunghoon.How can i just marry Jake out of nowhere?Sunghoon is my husband,what'll happen to him if i Marry Jake?..
Moreover,It'll destroy Jake's life too.Cuz i know I will never be able to See him as my husband.That place is only reserved for my Hoon.I can't just destroy Three life like this.
What do i do?!My Brain is not working.I'm feeling so suffocated. I don't know what to do at this situation.Here my Grandpa is so sick.And this is the Last thing he wanted from me.How can i say no to him in this critical condition of him?Also How can i say yes even?
I don't know anything.I just know this can't happen at all.
This should not.I can't marry Jake.I won't marry Jake no matter what.
I wiped my tears & stood up.I was waiting outside of the cabin room.Jake was Also standing in a distance.I can understand this is a very shocking thing to him too.I think he also didn't know about it before.This must be a great pressure on him.But i'm sorry.I can't take his responsibility.I can't agree to this decision of grandpa.It'll make three of our life hell.
I went to Jake.he was standing with his head low.I know He's feeling awkward,me too.But we need to talk at this moment.
"Jake" I called out.
"Yes hyung?" He answered in a low broken voice without looking up at me.I noticed he was trying to Stop his sobs.I hesitated a bit to talk at first but i need to talk right now.
"Uh- I don't know if it's right time to talk about It or not..but- we need to Talk about it" I said Lowly.
He just gave a nod.
"Look Jake,I know this is grandpa's last wish.We both love & respect grandpa a lot.But I can't just Agree with this Decision of him" I told in a low voice.
"I know.You don't Have to agree hyung.You shouldn't even.Don't worry,You don't have to Take my responsibility; you don't have to- marry me" Jake answered in low heavy voice.
"I don't know if i'm sounding harsh..but I really can't do this.I have My reason-"
"It's okay hyung.You don't need any reasone to disagree.It's normally Unfair to you.why would you even marry me out of nowhere?I don't even expect you to do that"He said.
"uh-thanks for understanding.But what about your decision Jake?What do you want?" i asked with a slight hesitation.
He just gave out a little dry chuckle,it wasn't a happy one for sure.
"There's nothing like my decision.Grandpa raised Me Like his own grandchild from my childhood.When Nobody was there for me,he was.He's been protecting me from every danger.He gave me a chance to be educated,he's been carrying the responsibility of my Food,cloth & meditation for this 12 years.He never kept any lacking in taking care of me.He's done a lot for me.I'm so grateful to him for all this thing.So I Don't think i'm in a place to take any decision over Grandpa's choice.Whatever Decision you guys take for me,will be my decision" He stated.
His words left me speechless.I didn't know what to say back so i went back to my seat.I waited for the doctor to come out with any information.

After around 15 minutes,Doctor kim & a nurse came out of the Cabin.I rushed to them.
"Doctor,How's my grandpa?" I asked
She just Let out a deep sigh lowering her head.
"What happened doctor?"I asked.
"He's not in a good condition.You should prepare yourself for any worse situation" She answered.
I could not say anything back.I went back to my seat.My knees were giving up.Jake Came To me running.
"W-what did they say hyung?Is Grandpa okay?" He asked desperately.I shook my head Without looking at him.
"W-what?...What did they say?.." He asked in a broken voice.
"They- They said that we should prepare ourselves for worse" I answered.
Jake Fell on the Seat beside me.Then the next thing i Heared was him crying.
I Was just trying to hold back my tears & keep myself strong.But i can't...

Author's pov:
After a while,Heeseung was called by Dr.Kim in her chamber.Heeseung went inside the room & took a seat at the chair in front of Dr.Kim.
"So..Mr.Lee,I've called you here to talk about your grandpa" Started Dr.Kim.I nodded in a response for her to continue.
"So,As i said,Your Grandpa's Condition is very critical.He-" Dr.Kim Paused At this point.
Heeseung Took Deep breath & looked At Dr.kim motioning her to continue.
"H-He doesn't have much time left" Dr.Kim said.
The line hit Heeseung's heart like Knife.He still tried to keep himself strong.He gulped in his Breath.
"H-h-how much time it is?" He asked in A broken voice.
"Can't tell surely.It might be 24 hours or even 2 hours"Doctor Kim Stated.
A drop of tear rolled down from Heeseung's eyes.He never felt this Weak & helpless.He's seeing The Death is Snatching away his grandpa from him but he can't do anything for him.
"I know it's hard For you Mr.Lee.But Keep yourself strong.This is the truth of the world,the rule of the world.Every mortal have to Leave this world one day" Said Dr.Kim with a sigh.
What truth?what rule?Why it has to be this cruel?...
Heeseung just nodded.He wiped his tears & asked,"when can i meet Grandpa Doctor?"
"He's sleeping now.You can go see him now if you want but don't wake him up"replied Dr.Kim.
Heeseung nodded & stood up from his seat.
"And yes,Don't make him angry or worried.It'll be so harmful for him" Added Dr.kim.
Heeseung Gave a assuring nod as a response.
He then headed toward his Grandpa's cabin.He entered In the room slowly without making any sound.Jake was Already there,sitting beside the bed lowering his head.He didn't notice Heeseung's presence.Heeseung silently Walked to the other side of the bed.He pulled a stool toward him & sat on it.Jake didn't raise up his head to see Heeseung.He probably fell asleep.Heeseung Didn't wake him up.He just sat there silently beside the bed holding Grandpa's hand.Silent tears were falling down his eyes endlessly.He Didn't realize when he also fell asleep there while crying.

Heeseung woke up by feeling someone's hand Caressing his head.
He opened his eyes slowly & found Grandpa awake.He was patting Heeseung's head slowly with affectionate eyes.Heeseung sat up straight & held Grandpa's hand gently.
"Grandpa.." he called out in a low voice.
"Evan..." Grandpa answered in a very weak voice.
"Yes,I'm here.Here with you" Replied Heeseung with an weak soft smile.
at that moment,Jake came out of the washroom.
"Oh?Grandpa you're awake?"He said as he walked toward Him.
Grandpa nodded slowly & motioned Jake to sit beside him,At the oposite side of Heeseung was sitting.Jake went & sat there obediently.
Grandpa reached his one hand to hold Jake's hand as he held it back Sincerely.
Grandpa The Took a deep breath & let it out.He closed his Eyes & stayed like that for a while holding both of their hands.Then he opened his eyes slowly.
"Evan.." He called out weakly.
"Yes Grandpa?" Heeseung responded immediately.
"T-the thing i told you..about that.Did you think about i-t dear?.." Grandpa asked in a low weak voice.
Heeseung was caught off guard by this Question again suddenly.
"Uh-um-" He hesitated.
"Don't say no dear.Don't d-disappoint grandpa.I t-trust you dear" Grandpa Said softly.
Heeseung was feeling so suffocated.He didn't know what to say at that moment.If he said No then it would make Grandpa worried & more sick.But how could he say yes even?..So he stayed silent.
"Why are you silent dear.answer me please.I can't die peacefully like this.." Let out Grandpa.
Jake was also feeling so uneasy.He tried to calm Grandpa down.
"Grandpa Grandpa.. You don't need to think about that right now.I'll be okay.I don't need anyone to take my responsibility.Please Rest now grandpa;you're my Good grandpa" Jake tried to Calm the older down but the effort was in vain.Grandpa didn't stopped talking about it.
"Don't Talk Jakey.You're still so young.You don't know how scary this world is.You need someone to protect you In place of me.And i trust Evan for that"Grandpa replied In a weak yet strong tone.
He then looked at Heeseung & said,
"Tell me Evan,will you take Jake's responsibility?will you marry him?Will you fullfill this last wish of your Grandpa?Don't you love your Grandpa?Can't you do this for me?"
Heeseung was left with no words.
He was drowning in the ocean of indecision.He was fighting with his Heart's dilemma.
On one hand,There was his love of life.
On the other hand,It was his beloved Grandpa's Order.
Which would he follow?Could he Disappoint the Grandpa who raised Him to a young & successful man now he is?Or could He betray the love of his life whom he love more than his own life?
No No No.He can't do either of this.
But what answer would he give to Grandpa at that moment?
After Fighting With enough Dilemma,He took a deep breath & looke at Grandpa who was desperately waiting for the answer.
Those eyes were Hoping & pleading to Heeseung.Heeseung could not say No,He never could.
"I-I will.I will Take Jake's responsibility.I'll marry him" Answered Heeseung.A smile of trust Appeared on Grandpa's face.On the other hand,Jake looked at Heeseung in huge shock.He never imagined that Heeseung Would Agree to this.
He shook his Head in No looking at Heeseung's eyes.Heeseung just kept looking at him with frozen eyes.Those eyes Were emotionless.
Jake was still in shock.He himself was not ready to agree to this decision.He thought Heeseung would say no but....
He stayed silent cuz earlier he said whatever was their Decision would be his decision.So ge can't go back on his words now.
"I'll register the marriage today.Here.You don't have to worry anymore Grandpa" stated Heeseung In low yet firm voice.
Grandpa nodded & smiled.
"Jake,Come with me.I need to talk with you" Said Heeseung Without looking At Jake as he walked out of the cabin.Jake followed him behind.
