Please Don't Eat Me, Your Highness

A few days past ~

Evelyn's pheromones were quite in control now and she could control her transformation a little better. Although sometimes her ears still popped out when excited.

Currently, Evelyn was sitting with the empress. The empress disapprovingly shook her head seeing the dark red spot peeking through the naive little Evelyn's collar.

'Tsk! Tsk! That brat of mine'. But seeing that Evelyn was happily munching on her cookies made her heart ease.

"Baby, you have to tell me anyone bullies you, ok? Even if it's my son. I'll beat his ass".Evelyn was moved by the warm consideration of her. Although she never had a mother but she truly felt the sincerity of the empress.

Thinking about this morning, when she again found herself hugging the man and getting bitten by him she didn't know who to blame. She shyly buried her face and said, "Thank you, your majesty. I am doing well".

The empress smiled helplessly . 'This child was so obedient that it made people worry'. The empress wanted to say something more but a clear voice stopped their conversation midway.

The empress 's exclusive maid bowed and reported to her, "Your majesty, lady Lionel is requesting for an audience".

The empress nodded with a smile , " Tell her to come".
A beautiful lady wearing an expensive blue dress walked towards their table with an air of elegance.

"I greet Her Majesty ,the brightest moon of the empire", lady Lionel bowed slightly and looked at the empress with a smile.

" May the divine blessing be upon you  Lionel.Come join us, how have you been? ", the empress welcomed her kindly. Although, the empress is the distant aunt of Lady Lionel but they were pretty well acquainted because of their frequent visits.

They chatted happily for a bit when Lionel suddenly noticed something and asked a little inquiringly, " And who might this be, Your majesty? "

The empress finally remembered that Evelyn wasn't officially introduced so she smiled lovingly at the little girl who was eating contently and introduced, "Oh my, how rude of me. This is Evelyn and dear this is Lionel Spencer".

Evelyn choked by the sudden introduction. " Cough! Cough! ".
" Good be careful, baby. "The empress worriedly patted her back trying to stop her coughing.

Evelyn smiled awkwardly after she calmed down. " A-apologies for my rudeness".Lady Lionel eyed the intimate interaction between them and felt a sense of crisis.

Lionel smiled as if forced, "Nice to meet you lady Evelyn. I haven't seen you here before.Are you perhaps new here".
Evelyn tensed a bit, not really fond of this pretty lady who she remembered from the day of banquet.

A woman's intuition was rarely wrong. And she was sensitive of human emotions as an aftereffect of all the abuse she faced in her family. So she could tell this lady held hostility towards her.

"Hello Lady Lionel. You're right I am not from here".Evelyn hesitated not wanting to speak about her family.
'I don't know if they'll try to kill me again if they knew I was still alive'.

Lionel opened her mouth wanting to inquire further when she saw a familiar figure coming towards them. Her eyes twinkled as got up from her sit and bowed elegantly greeting, "I greet the little sun of the empire".

Alexander nodded his head in acknowledgement, " Hmm".Then passed by her and went to the little girl who was flustered and wanted to run away.

Alexander's cold face dared her to try. Evelyn flinched and pretended to be calm and again started stuffing her face with the delicious dessert although she couldn't taste it.

Earlier Evelyn wanted revenge because Alexander constantly kept biting her lips. So early in the she smacked his face with black ink and fled on Night's back.

She has been avoiding him till this afternoon. She avoided eye contact planning to stay with the empress and sleep in her palace. However, her naive plan went astray when she felt her body was lifted in air and turned around.

Alexander lifted her like a sack of potatoes and holding both her knees in place with his hand. "Ahh.... Let go", Evelyn panicked, kicking her arms and legs.

The empress shook her head , "This rude brat, not even greeting his mother".

On the side, Lady Lionel witnessed this scene and felt her head boil. Her eyes turned red, she controlled her reaction and asked the empress, her voice was forced, " Who is that girl to his highness, Your majesty? ".

The empress sipped her tea and smiled meaningfully without  answering.
Lionel felt like her heart was filled with jealousy and envy. She glared at the way the two disappeared.

Lady Lionel stood up and smiled apologised, " I apologize your majesty, I have an important matter to attend."
"Sure, Lady Lionel ", the empress arched her brows looking at the hurriedly walking figure.

" Hmm... I hope she doesn't do  anything foolish ", the empress's exclusive maid stood beside her and said with concern.

The empress continued sipping her tea and smirked, " Do you think that brat would let that happen? The only thing I'm concerned is that I wouldn't even have enough time to prepare for the wedding and Evelyn would already be heavy with his child "

The both exchanged glances and bursted out laughing.
