Aiden's pov

I was sitting on the graveyard walls with ash listening to music when A PHANTOM GRABED ASHLYN  she tried to kick it off but it dragged her down by her ankle without thinking I jumped in my head it should have hurt but I didn't or I just didn't care I don't know which one. I hit the ground and ran towards ash when I saw a horde of around 50 phantoms I grabed my knife and flash light and ran into the circle they had formed around ash I couldn't think all I knew was that I had to save ash and I didn't care how hurt I got along the way

Ashlyn's pov
Im trying to get free I'm scratching and kicking but it's no use when out of the corner of my eye I see Aiden he doesn't look like he normally does he's not smiling and he's moving so fast it looks more like a storm of stabbing and cutting until he eventually gets the horde from 50 phantoms to 3 the 3 that were standing around me I realize he didn't have a scratch on him how how could he fight through all those phantoms and not even get a scratch that's when a phantom pinded him down and went to scratch him went for a split second I could hear the music he was listening to REALLY PARTY IN THE USA AT A TIME LIKE THIS  he proceeded to stab the phantom in the head and take down the other two I saw the cut on his neck was already almost healed how did he heal so fast he was fine but his shirt was ripped to shreds but he wasn't even bleeding he gave me a hand I got up "really white girl music" I said. "It's a good song" he replied "but seriously how are you not hurt" I asked "well me and Tyler figured out that healing in this world is related to our mental state so I guess I didn't care if I lived or died I just had to save you"
