Anabelle's anguished cries echoed through the prison walls as she struggled against the harsh reality of her confinement. Fellow inmates, tired of her outbursts, turned on her.
"Shut the fuck up, woman! Are you the only one in here?" one of them snapped.
Anabelle, her face battered and bruised, glared at her tormentor. "How dare you tell me to shut up? Do you have any idea who I am?"
The inmates exchanged skeptical glances. "Who the hell are you?" one of them sneered, before they pounced, exchanging blows.
Meanwhile, in a world far removed from Anabelle's darkness, Britney's wedding preparations were in full swing. The night before the big day, Britney sat alone, her wedding gown a reminder of the promises she was about to make.
Sasha entered the room, concern etched on her face. "Still awake?"
Britney nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah, I guess."
Sasha sat beside her, gentle as ever. "Care to share why?"
Britney's fears spilled out. "I'm scared, Sasha. What if something happens in the future, and Dustin and I get separated or divorced, like Mom and Dad?"
Sasha's grip on Britney's hands tightened. "I promise you, nothing like that will happen. You just have to be more positive and less negative. I think you're overreacting, Britney."
Britney's voice trembled. "I know, but I can't control my thoughts sometimes."
Sasha's reassuring smile helped ease Britney's anxiety. "Everything will be alright. I'm always here for you, so is Dustin, Mom, and Dad."
Just then, their mom knocked on the door. "Who's getting married tomorrow morning?!" she exclaimed, beaming.
Britney's tears flowed freely as her mom enveloped her in a warm hug. The tension melted away, replaced by laughter and joyful anticipation.
Across town, Dustin, Alexander, and their friends raised glasses in a toast. "Dustin, drink more!" one of them urged.
Dustin chuckled. "Oh no, my future wife's counting on me to show up for our wedding looking normal, not drunk."
Alexander joked, "We don't wanna keep the bride waiting because we all got drunk and forgot about the wedding time."
The group erupted into laughter, teasing each other about finding their own true loves, just like Dustin.
