June 13th on a Thursday evening
We bumped into each other with a smile and expressions that gave our lives meaning

It took less than 10 days to say "I love you"
I was never expecting anything less or nothing more
I just had no clue

Yes no clue how our love could be so true
Yes so true in a world where love is often lost in the passing winds in days both old and new

How did we ever not get tired of talking for hours?
Is it fate? Is it a mind state or is it hate we're trying to devour?

Is it boredom? Is it freedom or is it something we would laugh about when in our 70s looking through love letters while holding scented bouquets of flowers?

I hate to deviate but how do my laughs make you feel?
Do you roll your eyes? Do they twitch? Does your heart miss a beat or does it keep it still?

What about when I hear your crazy jokes
Do I giggle? Do I mumble? Or do you think I laugh so loud enough to wake my folks up or even stumble?

Do I love you? Do you love me? Or will what we share always be in our backend memory?

Well, enough questions for the night my love
You're my friend, my one, and my shining light from a burning stove

Well, I wish for you above all things to flourish like the flowers that grow, the stream that flows, and to find favor wherever you go

And as all these things make our world a little better
The same captures me every time we are together.

Your smile warms my heart and lights my way
Your kisses and hugs may even make me forget all I intend to write and say...
But I will love you my sweet person, every passing day!
