Doveblaze wakes up and the sun is set. Doveblaze walks over to her leader.
"May I go hunting for prey?" Doveblaze asks. SolaraStar nods and she sprints out of the camp and into the woods. Doveblaze sees Midnightclaw sitting. Doveblaze walks over to her and smiles.
"Doveblaze! You came." Midnightclaw smiles.
"Yep, I did! So.. tell me about your clan!" Doveblaze says.
"Oh, there's not much to say about MoonClan honestly.." Midnightclaw says.
"Oh cmon, there has to be something interesting going on, right?" Doveblaze asks. Midnightclaw shakes her head.
"Well.. Rogues have been invading our territory. But I'm sure you know that." Midnightclaw says. Yep, Doveblaze definitely knew about that..
"Yeah.. Rogues are.. Everywhere. And they're terrible." Doveblaze says.
"I just think they are misunderstood." Midnightclaw says while looking at the moon.
"But they're so hostile and they're attacking our clans!" Doveblaze says.
"Yeah, that's true. But–" Midnightclaw says. Suddenly, she hears a cat in the woods trying to look for her.
"I gotta go. See you another time?" Midnightclaw asks. Doveblaze nods and pounces at a nearby mouse to make them believe she was hunting for prey. Doveblaze sprints back into her camp and drops the mouse into the pile. She silently crawled back into her den and sat down.
What does she mean by 'I just think they are misunderstood.'!? A rogue almost killed me! Doveblaze thought. Rogues are reckless cats.. They won't stop until they destroy us! Doveblaze can't bear the thought of it. Her own friend had betrayed her to become a rogue. So why would she try and forgive them for what they've done to the clans? They destroyed nearly all of the clans a couple millennia ago. It was a long time ago, when the rogues group was enforced many moons before. They caused all sorts of chaos, even if lots of troops were sent out. They were sneaky and mysterious. Their reputation was never good after that. All rogues have been taught to be sinister and evil, never peaceful. Joining the rogues usually meant you were desperate for a home or wanting to be evil without any consequences. You got to be evil and be able to do anything you wanted! It sounded like an amazing life, but it really isn't. No one knew who the leader of it all was. They hid in the shadows and let the rogues do the work. Doveblaze was mad that this organization had brought terror and war across the lands for so many years. It all made sense to Doveblaze. Everything about them was sinister and evil, and she didn't know what else to understand about it. She dug her claws and scratched into the dirt. The thoughts of the rogues made her shiver. Anyways, she didn't want to keep talking all about her, so she decided to relax in her den and sleep until..
"Rise and shine!" Sunstrike nudged Doveblaze and she awoke.
"Ugh.. Is the sun even up yet?" Doveblaze curled up into her bed. Sunstrike awkwardly smiled and chuckled.
"Definitely.." Sunstrike said with an unconvincing voice.
"Why are you waking me up this early!?" Doveblaze groaned.
"Well, we have a clan meeting, so wake up!" Doveblaze immediately woke up and sat in front of her.
"Woah, you really are a loyal warrior. How do you even like going to clan meetings?" Sunstrike said surprised.
"Oh, I don't know, I guess I just really like being a warrior. Don't you?" Doveblaze said walking beside Sunstrike.
"Well duh. But I don't have that excitement anymore. It's pretty boring around here." Sunstrike exclaimed. They arrived and sat below the rock. SolaraStar looked at all of the clan members.
"Hello clan members. We are currently having a problem with catching prey. Lots of our hunting spots have been raided and the prey is running away and being taken. This is becoming a problem as Leaf-Bare is approaching soon. We need more border patrol and hunting. Flamestrike, would you set up patrols?" SolaraStar stared at the she-cat.
"Of course." She dipped her head.
"Well then, this clan meeting is dismissed." SolaraStar hopped off the rock and stepped into her den.
"We've had so many clan meetings about prey. I wonder what's up with everyone stealing?" Doveblaze walks alongside Sunstrike.
"I don't know, but it's weird." Sunstrike shrugs. Doveblaze zones out and keeps walking.
"Are you okay-" Sunstrike starts to say. Doveblaze starts breathing heavily and feels some sort of anxiety, like someone was watching her. Suddenly, Doveblaze stops. Black swallows around her and everyone is gone. She sees Iris. She's standing with her back faced toward Doveblaze.
"Why did you kill me, Dove?" Iris turns her head to face her.
"Don't.. call me that." Doveblaze winces.
"StarClan won't forgive you. And neither. Will." Iris stops and walks over. She unsheathes her claws and slashes her across the neck.
"I." Iris smiles as Doveblaze falls to the ground. The black fades until only her is left.
