- ' . CHAPTER NINE . ' -
   Doveblaze wakes up in the medicine den laying in a bed. She has bruises from falling and the medicine cat is preparing herbs for other cats.
    "What the..?" Doveblaze tries to get up but winces and she shivers because of the pain of the bruises.
    "Don't get up. It will hurt even more." Amberleaf, the medicine cat, says with a calm voice while walking over to Doveblaze.
    "Why am I here?" Doveblaze asks.
    "You fell to the ground. Has this happened before?" Amberleaf asked.
    "No.. Not really..?" Doveblaze says confused. Was this because of whatever happened with Iris? Was it a dream? A vision? A message from StarClan? She didn't know.
    "Well, Doveblaze. This might have been a panic response. Have you ever had that happen?" Amberleaf asks her.
    "No but I have been in panic before.. I don't think this was a panic response, I wouldn't fall to the ground and faint?" Doveblaze said. She was confused, this wasn't a hallucination. It was real. Was it panic because of the moment?
    "Well, what happened? Did you see something? Did something trigger you?" Amberleaf asked. She was also confused.
    "Yeah.. I saw someone I knew. Like it was a message from StarClan. But I know it can't be.." Doveblaze said. Right?
    "Do you remember what you saw exactly?" Amberleaf asked calmly.
    "Oh.. No, I don't." That was obviously a lie. But this wasn't for anyone else to figure out. Doveblaze needed to know what was going on.

                                           * * *
    "Doveblaze! Are you okay?!" Sunstrike asks  while running to Doveblaze as she walks over to the den.
    "Oh– Yeah!" Doveblaze reassures her.
    "What happened?" Sunstrike asks with curiosity. Should I tell her? I can trust Sunstrike, but this is something I need to fix myself.
    "Oh.. I just.. Uhm.." Doveblaze was struggling to come up with an excuse.
    "It's fine if you're too overwhelmed." Sunstrike smiled. Phew. Doveblaze thought. She was such a bad liar, but she had gotten away with it this time. Doveblaze's head suddenly filled with voices, and darkness surrounded her once again.
    "Dove, you're pushing away your journey.." A voice called out. A path out to the woods cleared out of the darkness. W-What is this? Who is that!? Doveblaze followed the path. The light continued to brighten.. She didn't know where she was going, but she felt like this was the way to go. She had no purpose. She felt like becoming a warrior hadn't benefitted her.. She needed to find her journey and take her life into her hands. Once, and for all.
