Y/n's POV:

Dinner with Kenan felt like something out of a dream. He was easy to talk to, funny, and surprisingly humble for someone who had the world at his feet. As we left the restaurant, walking side by side through the glow of Florence's streetlights, I glanced up at him—way up—and laughed.

"What?" he asked, smiling down at me.

"Nothing," I said, shaking my head. "It's just... the height difference. You're so tall, and I feel like a little kid walking next to you."

He chuckled, stopping for a moment. "How tall are you?"

"Five-one," I said with a mock sigh. "Basically a hobbit."

He raised an eyebrow. "I'm six-two, not a giant. It's not that bad."

"Not that bad???" I teased, standing on my tiptoes and pretending to measure the distance between us. "You could practically use me as an armrest."

He laughed, and before I could protest, he actually rested his arm on my head for a second.

"Kenan!" I swatted him away, laughing.

"See?" he said, grinning. "Perfect fit."

By the time we said goodnight, I couldn't stop smiling. When I got back to the hotel, Madelyn was lounging on the bed, scrolling through her phone.

"How was it?" she asked without looking up.

"Perfect," I said, kicking off my shoes.

"Did you get a picture of the two of you?"

I held up my phone triumphantly. "I did."

She sat up, her eyes lighting up. "Let me see!"

I showed her the photo, and despite our height difference, we looked... good together.

"This is adorable," Madelyn said. "You're posting this, right?"

"I don't know," I said, hesitating. "Isn't it too much?"

"Too much? Are you kidding me? Look at you two!" She pointed at the phone. "Post it. Let the world see."

I bit my lip, but after a moment, I opened Instagram. I picked the photo:

The moment I posted it, my heart raced.

"Done," I said, setting my phone down.

"Buckle up," Madelyn said with a smirk. "The internet's about to have a meltdown."

Kenan's POV:

I couldn't stop smiling as I walked back to my apartment. Dinner with Y/n had been everything I hoped it would be—relaxed, fun, and full of little moments that made her so different from anyone else I'd ever met.

She was right about the height difference, though. It was hard not to notice how small she looked next to me, but i wasn't in a bad way. It was... endearing.

When I got home, I checked my phone and saw a notification from Instagram.

@Y/nkalogeras just posted a photo.

Curious, I opened it, and there it was—the picture of the two of us at the restaurant.

I stared at it for a moment, smiling. The caption was simple, but the post felt bold. Y/n wasn't hiding, wasn't afraid to let people see her with me.

I sent her a message immediately:

Love the picture. You look amazing —

— Thanks ☺️ I hope I didn't cause any trouble
by posting it.

Not at all. Let people talk —
it's worth it.

Leaning back, I scrolled through some of the comments. Most were positive—fans admiring her bravery, saying how cute we looked together—but a few were less kind.

I frowned as I came across one:

@fanaccount377: Wow, she's just chasing fame. Kenan deserves better.

The negativity didn't surprise me, but it still annoyed me.

Before I could dwell on it, my agent texted.

I called him immediately.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"There's a mix of reactions, as expected," he said. "Most fans are supportive, but there's already chatter from some anonymous accounts claiming she's using you for attention."

"That's ridiculous," I said, my jaw tightening.

"Maybe, but it's part of the territory," he said calmly. "If you're serious about her, this won't be the last time this happens."

Y/n's POV:

Madelyn was right—the internet was melting down. My phone buzzed nonstop with notifications, mostly comments and DMs. Some were sweet, fans saying how lucky I was or how good Kenan and I looked together.

But then there were the others.

"Uh, Y/n," Madelyn said, holding up her phone. "You should see this."

She showed me a comment on my post:

@anonymous388: Kenan doesn't even know you. Stop trying to act like you're special.

I felt a knot form in my stomach. Before I could say anything, another notification popped up—this time a DM from an anonymous account.

Anonymous: You think you belong with him? You're just a phase. He'll drop you like everyone else

My hands started to shake as I showed Mads the message.

"Block them," she said immediately.

"I will," I whispered, though the words stung more than I wanted to admit.
