Greetings, everyone.
I pray that you all are well. Things have become complicated and, dare I say, hectic.
I would like to forward an apology to those who have followed this story thus far. Your words of encouragement truly pushed me forward, allowing me to persevere and reach this point with utmost confidence and resolve.
However, there was a certain individual that pointed out the flaws in my story, ones that I've been trying to deny despite how clear they are.
This message is also a response to that person who gave that comment which I will keep anonymous for obvious reasons.
Their comment proceeded as follows;
[I just can't bring myself to like this Adam for example: "Adam's heart raced as he pulled himself together. "Greetings, Mr. Headmaster of this Academy," he began, bowing deeply in a show of respect that seemed both necessary and inadequate.". C- how... why is it "ADAM" geez I can't see him showing that level of respect to anyone but GOD and I still have my doubts I think he would probably call him "old man" and talk to him casually.
He shows too much respect I even find that he doesn't swear enough, he has panic attacks every other second how did he survive the fall of Eden like that, he doesn't look old enough it's like those centuries of slaughter disappeared that he.... I'm lost for words so I'm going to wish you good luck for the rest of the fiction.]
I would like to spend this release to express my thoughts and answer some questions.
#1: The reason why Adam acted so respectfully to the Headmaster was because he acknowledged Milton Grimm's authority over the school. I wrote Adam to stay his tongue in order to keep a sense of belonging and pave a line that will ensure his place in the world where he knows nothing about.
I understand that it was incredibly unlike Adam to act the way he did, and I also knew that he should be cursing and screaming profanities more often. Yet, I made him wary, watchful, and cautious of his words and actions since he is still trying to get the hang of being a part of a world that isn't his to begin with.
#2: Adam doesn't swear as often as many of you expected since he had no actual reason to be rude and express his disgruntlement with those undeserving of it. Would you scream at a child? Would you cuss at the innocent? This Adam has panic attacks since he has doubts of his existence and initial place.
Does he belong? Did he have the right? Would others accept him? Does he deserve to have a place amongst these fantastical characters?
Some questions could easily rectify the problems. He didn't forget his past, I made sure to write them in segments to have him recall who he is and the reason he moves forward.
Nonetheless, in the end, I did find reasoning in your words, I did lack in many aspects and realized that many readers would usually skip most of the exposition and explanation and would rather skip to dialogue.
I understand that, but I wanted you all to immerse yourself in this fictional story of a fictional world of a fictional show that I came to greatly care about.
Overall, I agree with the person's words. I aim to fix my mistakes and learn from them. This story will be revised and have a startling reprise where the flow will change drastically and events will unfold differently.
I aim to bring back the Adam that many know and have grown fond about. For now, I will eventually delete the chapters and change the story entirely. Or I would just post a different story altogether and completely start from the ground up. Who knows?
I am not the dictator of my future, all I can do is gently change the course and pray to the Lord for great success.
That's also one of the reasons why I didn't want to use too many curses and profanities in my work. I am a devoted believer and I did not want to taint the minds of the innocent who came from the EAH fandom, but I guess the wants of the many outweighs the desires of the few.
So, that's that, I hope you all have a pleasant life ahead of you. I will return shortly, but I know not when I will, all I know is that it will be soon.
