Dabi sits outside on the roof of the hide out. No one can see him since it's out of sight. The area makes the night sky so memorizing. The weather is not a bitter cold, but a warm breeze. It is starting to be summer in Japan once again and Dabi is enjoying the seasonal change.
Memorized by the stars, he takes a drag from the cigarette he's been nursing for 3 minutes now.
No villain activities, no monstrous hate and worry.
The exhale feels sharper than the inhale, I guess all that smoke he consumes really is not good for him.
Suddenly his peace is broken.
Dabi is having a nasty coughing fit when the familiar voice behind speaks.
"You know smoking kills right?" Hawks says while taking the cigarette to put out. He decides to take a seat next to Dabi.
"Suddenly you care if I live or die birdie? How sweet." Dabi says while replacing the cigarette taken from him.
The minute it touched his lips Hawks takes it away.
"It's my job to care about people's lives." He says with a smile.
His smile, Dabi enjoys it. It's nothing like anybody else's in there.
"I guess you're right, but what are you doing here anyway?"
Dabi could feel the tightness in his chest from the smoke.
"I can't enjoy Japan's stars with a friend?" Hawks asked in return.
"Do whatever you want." Dabi replied while looking away.
His eyes met the sky, the night felt cozy.
Hawks seemed to enjoy the company.
Dabi enjoyed that.
He took a deep breath in while piecing together constellations in his mind. He turned his head opposite of Hawks to let out a cough, his hand slightly covering his mouth.
"Fuck" he whispers to himself.
"You okay scars?" The warmth of Hawks hand meets his shoulder.
"Yea I'm good." Dabi replied while taking another breath.
Hawks kept his hand there.
"If worst comes to worst I'm CPR trained." Hawks joked.
"Can it and enjoy the view." Dabi spoke with smokers voice.
Hawks couldn't help but laugh.
They ended up enjoying a different view that night.
