Sora (ソラ, Sora) is a pirate, a competent shipwright, and exceptional navigator. His dream is to circumnavigate around the world, while discovering fairy tale islands, analyzing the ecosystem of that particular island, expanding his horizons, and uncovering mysterious treasures. Such islands include; the Sky Islands of Weatheria and Skypiea, Island of Dreams, Lost Island, Merveille, Fishman Island, etc. He documents his findings in a journal. He has eaten the Kaze Kaze no Mi. Sora's name means "sky" in Japanese.
Appearance:
Sora is an average sized, muscular young man with lightly tanned skin. He has brown hair and black eyes. Sora wears a long-sleeved shirt with tan knee-length shorts and sandals. Around his neck is a pair of aviator goggles, similar to Smokers'. Sora usually has a dagger in a black sheath hung at his right hip and on his left hip a gun holster for his Flame Gun. On his left wrist, he wears a Log Pose. He carries around a beige satchel with a journal, writing utensils, books, smoke bombs, maps, money pouch, snacks, healthy fruits, a first aid kit, his shipwright tools, an extra set of cloths, a warm blanket, a water canteen, sanitation and personal hygiene necessities and an assortment of dials from Skypiea. His most cherished possession, what he considers his "treasure," is a locket necklace with a picture of his family.
Sora changes his clothing to accommodate for weather changes, wearing a raincoat on stormy conditions or a hooded parka for cold snowy climates.
As a child, Sora often sported T-shirt's with the Galley-La Company emblem on it in white, black knee-length shorts and boat shoes. He wore his signature aviator goggles strapped either on his head or around his neck. He wore a shipwright tool belt fastened on his waist.
Personality:
Sora is typically laid back, jovial, and has a somewhat carefree attitude at times. He is also very charismatic and not averse to praising other people. However, Sora is more perceptive than he seems, and often tells people what they need to hear instead of what they want. Despite his care-free attitude, he always speaks politely. He shows compassion to those who strike him as good hearty people.
When fighting an opponent, Sora is normally seen with a look of self-assured confidence on his face. He is quick-witted, observant, and intuitive; rarely being caught off guard or deceived. Sora also shows a deceptively cunning and serious side when the situation warrants it. He shows himself to be an incredibly serious and determined fighter when confronted with an actual threat. Willing to fight, kill, and die for whatever he believes in, Sora is a dangerous man to those who stand in his way. He does not hesitate or shrink from the idea of using deadly force against dangerous enemies. He commonly uses idle conversation and outward concern to distract his opponents. He truly respects those who fight for others, are strong-willed, courageous and talented fighters. Overall, Sora cares for and protects those important to him. Regarded as a pleasant and collected fellow, Sora enjoys reading, training, and the company of friends. He trains vigorously to the point of exhaustion all in an effort to get stronger so that he can help others in need. He is confident in his own abilities, often being humble about it. He despises those who mistreat their allies in any way, even if they are his own enemies. He expresses anger towards those who go as far as attacking their own allies, expressing that he cannot forgive those who murder their own comrades.
