Elijah often found himself listening to Ophelia's songs. For some reason he resonated with the lyrics. As he slowly endorsed Ophelia back into his life he can't help but think about what they had.
It hand't even been long, the two barely back on talking terms after two agonisingly long Christmas' in the same silent room, but for some reason Elijah felt a pull to the girl, staring longingly at her whilst she fluttered around the group of people.
Like when she sat in his flat and did her interview. If all the places she asked him, and he said yes without a second thought. Any reason to have her around he would take it within an instant.
"what was the interview about?" he asked walking back towards the girl.
"just music, didn't even get to give her that rundown of artists i've been preparing for my whole life waiting for that moment, i only got four out!" She huffed leaning back onto the sofa.
"let me guess, it started and ended with taylor swift?"
The girl looked at him, as if he had just guessed her national insurance number and was threatening her whole bank account.
"and probably arctic monkeys right? you had a fat crush on him."
"yes they are both correct" She frowned, Elijah looked at the girl, she was such an open book to him that he felt like the words were flying around her head for him to easily point out.
"what was one of the questions?"
"irish artist"
"that's so easy" he began, sitting further back in his seat relaxed. "you would say yourself, but then realise you don't listen yourself, then you would want to say me but you don't because we don't desvere the shameless plug. So you would probably go Fontaines D.C because you love skinny fia as we know by your finsta, and the fact you have somehow become best friends with Grian Chatten" He told the girl who stared at him in pure shock. "jealous by the way, introduce me sometime"
"what the fuck eli? how!"
The girl sat in utter shock while Eli continued to speak, getting everything she spoke about correct without even meaning to, even adding the extra information she couldn't or didn't want to share.
