"Leafy, why do i have to go take it up to Coiny? I already made the breakfast, and you know how much I-" Leafy swipes her hand from left to right, as if telling him to shut up and stop talking. The flame that is his body grows brighter with frustration, his eyes now rolling. "Everybody else is busy, you're the only one who isn't. Just give him his breakfast, he's not feeling well!" She walks away with Pin, who have plans together. Of course she and Pin can run along together like the fruits they are, but Firey always has to stay behind taking care of things. And this time it's Coiny. Can his day get any worse?
He grabs the breakfast tray and grumbled as he walked to Coiny's hotel room, looking up at the number. Liar. He knew the number, he just didn't want to admit it. Even though he tells everyone on the planet he hates Coiny, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't warming up to him. They'd sneak to each others rooms together to game or if people were up later than usual they'd call and still play from their own. Still hated him though.
Firey opened the door as he held the tray with one hand, like a true waiter, and he slid inside the room quietly. "Coiny, i have your stupid breakfast. Hurry up and take it so i can leave!" As he spoke, he noticed Coiny's state and felt somewhat bad for him.
Walking up to him with care in his heart felt so stupid, he would never usually do that, but he did. He slid the tray on the nightstand, looking over Coiny, who opened his eyes and smirked. "You carin' about me, Fire boy?" Even in spite of being incredibly sick, he teased Firey like it was an ordinary day. Any inch of care for Coiny vanished at this point, and he began to walk out. "No, wait! I'm sorry, please stay." The coin pleaded, even stretching out a hand. Firey was.. taken aback by this. If this were any day, Coiny would be practically jumping up and down when Firey tried to leave, but he wanted him to stay? For what??
"Why would i stay with you of all people?!" Firey grumbled, crossing his arms in an upset manner. He glances at Coiny, who is looking at him from afar with such a relaxed expression, and his mouth opens, "I need you." At this point, Firey bursts big enough to set off a smoke alarm, he scoffs and looks away as he tries to calm himself down. He couldn't tell if Coiny was doing this to tease him, or if he genuinely wanted Firey there with him. "I'm..! I'm not giving into you, asshole! I'm leaving!" And he walks out. Coiny's voice can be heard faintly behind the door, as he shouts Firey's name. He slides down the door and fiddles with his fingers. What was that?! Why'd Coiny make him flush like that? Not a single clue popped into his mind. Okay, maybe Firey did think about Coiny a little more than he let on, and maybe he did enjoy their reoccurring bickers more than anything else. God. This stupid coin!
Speaking of stupid coin, he opened the door which Firey leaned against, and he flopped backwards. They look at each other, and Firey booms again. "Can you just get in here..?" Coiny sniffles, a blanket wrapped around himself. Did he just want company or was he teasing Firey? The signals are all over the place. He gave in and stood up, walking in, "If you're doing this to tease, i'm never talking to you ever again!" Snickers are heard from the other, he knew Firey was on edge and he somewhat liked that. It was cute. He worried too much, overanalysed everything until it drives him crazy. Was he doing it to tease? Honestly, he didn't know himself, but he wanted company too. Who says he can't have both?
The two of them walked back in, Coiny snuggles in his covers and Firey sits on the edge of the bed. Right at the end. "Why are you so far away..? I don't bite." The coin grins goofily. "You don't bite, but you slap.. I am not trusting you!" Coiny laughs more, "Hey, did you make the breakfast?" "N.. No?" "Hm.. maybe Pin did, cause it's the stuff i like." Pin did not make his breakfast, Firey did. Maybe he did earwig in on Pin and Leafy's conversations about Coiny, and took mental notes which he didn't realise. The things he did as if he cared for Coiny went far out, more than he wanted it to. He liked their bickers, he liked poking fun at him, he liked subtly nudging him to piss him off. The small touch of the tip of his fingers on Coiny's body was all he needed. All he did was look down at his feet hanging off of the bed. "Firey? What's up with you today, man? You're acting weird." Coiny finally piped up, and he frowns. He did care for Firey, and saw past their arguments. The other looks away, fiddling with his fingers, which Coiny takes note of. "Is it weird that you've grown on me? Like.. I actually want to be around you. I remember your favourite breakfast foods and I even go as far as to sneak off to your room to be with you at night... Agh! I hate you--!" Firey's fists ball, and he grows flustered. The silence is thick in the air, neither knowing what to do. They blush to themselves, but Coiny moves. He gets up and crawls beside Firey, patting his leg, "It's okay, i get it. That's kind of cute though.." he snorted, looking at him. The touch on his leg, the snort-laugh, the way his eyelids droop down while looking at him.. oh shit, he's hot.
"You're staring." Coiny pokes him in the cheek, watching as the fire intensifies. "Shut up! God, I hate you.." "No you don't." and he locks their fingers, leaning on Firey. The warmth from him made him feel better, and the hand hold made Firey grow hotter and hotter, so it worked out for him. Realising this man likes him that way was also a plus one. He was waiting for it.
"I know you like me."
"Do not."
"Then why did your grip on my hand tighten?"
