MAISY WAS CURRENTLY standing on the soccer field at her school doing another scrimmage with her teammates. Practice started at 4:30, usually ended at 7:00, and it was currently 8:50.

Even thought the tournament wasn't for a while, Maisy's coach insisted they needed more practice. Not to mention they all have to stay after just because Maisy wasn't doing her absolute best today.

In her defense, it had been a long day. She barely even had any motivation to just even get out of bed this morning, she wasn't having a good hair day, she had tests in 3 out of 4 of her classes today, she forgot to clean her room last night. And on top of all of that, she couldn't get Walker out of her mind. He lived in there at this point, and the fact that they were okay again and he actually liked her back did not help either.

All her teammates including her coach were annoyed with her, one for her making them stay late, and two for missing all her cues. Her skills was not as good as it usually was and her coach was not satisfied. Maisy was exhausted, utterly exhausted. She knew that normally the top players have to go through a lot of stress buts it's never been this bad for her before.

She sighed as she missed her cue again. They all rounded up in a circle as the coach nagged at them again, "Okay, girls. What is going on? What happened to the confident and well playing girls i saw last practice? Maisy, you need to step your game up, your our star player for a reason and if you can't fulfill that before championship then i don't know what we're gonna do with you."

Maisy felt attacked and she didn't like how she was being blamed for it all, she wanted to cry. Shes been fighting back tears this whole time. She's always already been super hard on herself and this was not making it any better "I'm sorry. I'll do better, i promise" Her voice slightly broke.

Maisy struggled with overthinking a lot, and soccer was one of the main causes of it. She loved it, it was her whole life. But she never realized how slowing draining it actually was and she honestly didn't think there is a worser feeling than not feeling good enough for the sport she puts all her time and energy into. Everyone on her team knows that Maisy isn't playing to her full potential and it just sucked because she was trying so hard.

She knew it was just a bad day, that she would be better tomorrow, but it still hurt. She hated how this made her feel, she hated not feeling good enough. She just wanted to go home and crawl in bed and cry and not have to worry about soccer ever again.

She was broken out of her thoughts by her coach telling them to go home. The girls sighed in relief and started to walk over to their bags, glad they finally get to go home.
