Freda invited me into the gardens after breakfast to meet her fiance. Apparently, I had a good judgement on other people and so she wanted my opinion. For whatever reason, she trusted me more than her father. We waited patiently in the gardens on a bench which was surrounded by trees covered in pink flowers. Freda was fidgeting around nervously on her seat while I read a few pages of a book of fairy tales. In the end, when it sounded as if Freda was about to fall on the floor, I set the book down with a sigh and turned to glare at her.

"Will you stop? You are making me nauseous." She gave a half-smile and stopped moving.

"I don't think I am ready to meet him. Maybe I should leave." She got up.

"Don't be an idiot. Sit down and wait." I opened the book again. "You are not leaving me alone with your fiance." I felt the bench move again as she lowered herself onto the seat.

We heard the bell ring three times before we even heard a sign that Freda's fiance had arrived. The headmistress had sent one of the younger girls to tell us that he was just about be shown outside. He was speaking with the headmistress when the girl was sent out to us and would apparently be finished in ten minutes. This was possibly the worst announcement ever, as Freda grew even more nervous and began checking her appearance in a nearby window. I sighed, keeping my nose buried in my book.

The sound of heels on the cobbles was enough to send Freda into a fit of shivering. She stood up quickly from her seat, almost tripping over her own feet.

"I didn't realise you would get quite this nervous..." She glared at me with a loud scoff.

"Sh-shut up. I'm not that nervous."

"Your red face says otherwise." I licked my finger and flipped the page with a smirk.

"Miss Schmitt." I heard the headmistress begin speaking to my left. I looked up to see her and a man with striking blue eyes. His hair was black and slicked back partially into a ponytail. The bottom section of his hair was loose, almost reaching his shoulders. He wore a handsome, navy blue suit with a black tie and newly polished shoes. It was incredibly obvious that everything had been bought either the day of the meeting or the day before. Freda stared in awe at him, the corners of her lips pulled up slightly. He had the exact same look on his face as he looked back. However, after a while, he simply gave a toothy smile. White pearls beamed out from between his lips. "This is--"

"Thomas Boehm. And you are Freda Schmitt, am I right?" He spoke with a German accent. Freda nodded slowly.

"My mother was German." She mumbled slightly. The headmistress began to walk away. "Her name was Katrin."

"That is a beautiful name. In fact, it is my sister's name. Though, I haven't seen her since I moved to England." He gave a sincere smile. "Where are my manners?" He stepped forward and kissed Freda's knuckles. She blushed furiously and turned her head slightly towards me. She was grinning like an idiot. Thomas also looked at me. "And who is this?"

"I am Elisa Ward, a good friend of Freda's. She wanted me to meet you at the same time she did." He chuckled quietly.

"It is lovely to meet you." He then got up and stood with a straight back. "I...um...I'm not very good with introductions. Especially not with my fiance." He laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck.  He then sat down opposite me. Freda sat beside him.

I tried to stay mostly out of their conversation by sticking to my book, though there weren't many pages left to read. I knew that, eventually, I would have to set the book down and I doubted that Freda would let me leave. Luckily, it was a Sunday, and so neither of us had any lessons all day. Still, I would have rather been in my room writing letters or the such like. Freda had allowed me to leave for a few moments to grab a pencil, some paper and my journal. They continued talking about married life and their wedding and even children. For two people who had only just met, they seemed as if they had known each other their entire lives.

I began to fill in my journal for the day, which is the same day I am writing currently. I spent possibly an hour jotting down everything which had happened. Once I had finished, Freda and Thomas were still chatting. I then placed some paper on top of my journal and began writing a letter home.

Dear mother, Daniel, Helena, Caroline and Delia,

I hope everyone is well. I miss you all so very much. Right this moment, I am with my friend, Freda, who is meeting her fiance. She didn't want to be alone with him and so asked me to stay with her. I have also purchased a gown and shoes for the wedding. I suppose Monsieur Labrousse and I now have an event to attend before we are married ourselves. You should be the ones to tell him, since I am not sure when I will next see him. Perhaps you could even have him visit me soon. I would love to meet him.

How is everyone? Aunts, uncles, my sisters. Anyone at all. I just hope there is nothing wrong. Is business alright, Daniel? And, mother, are you well? Helena, Delia, Caroline, how are your studies? Also, I hope you girls aren't getting into any trouble. If I find out that any of you are wreaking havoc on our parents, I will come straight back to give you a stern talking to. You may think you miss me, but if I get angry with any of you, my presence will not be appreciated. Delia, you know that all too well, so do not test my patience.

Now, I will have to end this letter here. Look after my sisters, mother and Daniel, and be sure they don't get into trouble. Do not forget about my warning.

With love,

Elisa.

I folded the letter quickly and neatly tucked it into my sleeve.

"The colour scheme for our wedding should be blue. In fact, Elisa and I have already bought our shoes and she has bought her dress." Freda looked to me with a smile. "Her dress is stunning."

"I should go now. I need to post a letter. Please excuse me."

"That's alright. I don't think I need you to stay here anymore. I'm not nervous anymore." She grinned. I nodded and started to walk back towards the school building.

"It was lovely meeting you, Thomas. I hope to see you again soon, sir." I waved as I turned the corner.

Once I had given my letter into the reception, I slipped upstairs to my room. My journal and fairy tale book now sat on my desk. My room had recently been tidied by the staff at the school and the bed linen was fresh. When I sat on it, a strong smell of soap burst into the air and filled the entire room. I changed into my bed clothes, despite the fact that it was only four in the afternoon. I had no plans to have dinner and, if there was anything I wanted, Freda would most likely visit me with water and bread anyway.

Speaking of Freda, she knocked on my door about four hours after me leaving her behind. She practically floated into the room and glided onto the bed. She sat on the end of it with a huge smile on her face.

"Thomas is amazing!" She announced.

"I'm glad that you like him. Now, I can be certain that I will be at your wedding."

"Have you met your fiance yet?" I shook my head. "You have to! Write him a letter."

"I wrote one to my family, asking them to organise a meeting." She smiled again. "Yes, you can go with me to meet him." She squealed and jumped up.

"That is the only reason I came up here! Thank you!" Her arms squeezed around me tightly. "Goodnight, Elisa." She sprinted out of the room at a speed which no human should be able to run at. I shook my head with a smile. If Martin Labrousse was anything like Thomas, I was itching to meet him.

(A/N) You can probably now guess what the next chapter is going to be again XD I'm sorry that I ruin everything with goddamn spoilers. I'm bad at this... Anyway, I'm just hoping that I can actually write a conversation between Elisa and Martin. I narrowly skipped conversation with Thomas and Freda by adding random stuff. Ahah, I'm a cheater. Anyway, bye guys!!
