Most guests were leaving, though a few family members would remain to stay in our home for days, weeks or months. I was told to dress in a more comfortable dress for the journey to the boarding school. The gown had no corset and the skirt hung loosely past my hips. The skirt brushed against my ankles and I wore boots on my feet. I also donned my cloak with the hood up over my head.

The carriage pulled up outside. Mother and Daniel bid everyone farewell, leaving my three sisters in the care of their nursemaids. Holden drove the carriage and gave a little wave to us when he noticed us. Slowly, we approached the carriage. Dave held my trunk and placed it onto one of the seats. Inside were two gowns, my nightwear, the box of letters from Edward and a small pile of gifts I hadn't had time to open. Mother insisted on me taking an extra cloak, but I managed to sneakily remove it from my trunk and hid it underneath my bed.

"Good luck, Miss Elisa." Holden said with a smile. I nodded back.

"Thank you, Holden." I gave him a hug, shocking him, until he hugged back. "I will miss you, dear friend." I pulled away and climbed into the carriage. He let mother and Daniel in before shutting the door. I let out a sigh. "Will we be able to stop off at the post office? I would like to send a letter to Edward."

"To give him your new address?" My heart skipped a beat. I nodded. "Yes, alright. Holden, did you hear that?" Daniel called out of the window. In response, Holden gave two knocks on the top of the carriage. "Do you have a letter ready?" I pulled it from inside my sleeve.

"Yes. I have written the new address in it, so that Edward can send other letters to the school." A little smile grew on my lips. Mother reached over and pushed my hood down.

"Do not hide your beautiful hair, my dear." I pushed a little strand behind my ear.

We rode around for at least an hour and I took in all of the sights. I built a map in my mind of every building, every stone, every blade of grass. Sure, I wouldn't see them again for around five years and, even after that, I might have a suitor and have to live with them and start a family. Even the thought of that made my stomach churn. Without being completely certain of exactly where the school was, apart from the fact it was in Westminster - which was three hours away from Bristol, according to Daniel. Holden then knocked on the carriage, and pulled it to a stop.

"Here's your stop, milady!" He called and tore open the door. He bowed slightly as I climbed out of the small carriage. I thanked Holden.

"How many times must I tell you that there is no need to do all of this, Holden?" He chuckled.

"At least once more, Elisa." He smiled with tears in his eyes.

"I will miss you, Holden."

"Some how, I don't believe you." The door to the carriage shut. "Even if you did, you could never miss me as much as I will miss you." I draped my arms around his neck, giving him a tight hug.

"You should believe me more often." I then turned and headed towards the post office.

The man at the desk greeted me with a huge, toothy grin. I placed the letter down and dropped a few coins on the top. The man took them.

"Jamaica?"

"Yes, you know me so well, sir." He chuckled.

"Alright, I will have this sent in the morning. When will I be expecting another letter for or from you?"

"Not for another five years, I'm afraid. In fact, we are en route to my boarding school now. Speaking of which, I should probably leave. Goodbye, sir. I will see you again in the future." He nodded and placed a hand under his desk.
